A.3.0.0 LIMITATIONS 1. The KBR and KT curves are subject to limitations as per notes on individual charts. 2. Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 curves are valid for indicated materials only. 3. Values are for room temperature only.
For materials where KBR is unknown, the ultimate shear tear-out and bearing loads must be computed separately. A minimum margin of safety of 50% is required for bearing, thus, KBR = 0.50 is used.
