Introduction: Hone Tuwhare is considered as New Zealand’s most renowned Maori poet. His poetry is mainly motivated by Maori culture; his relationship with nature and his opinion on the destructive ability of man on both nature and himself are two of the most central themes that distinguish his poetry.
