ABNKKBSNPLAko?! ABNKKBSNPLAko?! is a 2001 novel by Filipino author Bob Ong — his first and most popular work. The title is meant to be read phonetically as "Aba, nakakabasa na pala ako?!", which can be roughly translated as "Wow, I can read now?!" The novel details what are supposedly childhood memories of the author, from his earliest days as a student until his first few years at work. success of Bob Ong's book among Filipinos has been attributed to its conversational tone which uses humor to point out various absurdities inherent to Filipino culture. The popularity ofABNKKBSNPLAko in particular is attributed to an element of nostalgia. Says University of the Philippines literary professor, Philippines Free Press literary editor, and award-winning poet Paolo Manalo about Bob Ong's work: "The materials he used in his books are those familiar to this generation of Filipinos. Stainless Longganisa Stainless Longganisa is a 2005 semi-autobiography by Bob Ong, and his fifth published work. It follows the style used in Bob Ong's first three publications: the use of contemporary Filipino language to express the author's views on Filipino culture. Unlike the first three books, however, it mainly deals with literature. According to the blurb, it focuses on [translated from the vernacular]: "... stories by leaking pens about the importance of reading, reaching your dreams and the correct way of writing." As of 2009 (the year his seventh book, Kapitan Sino, was released), Stainless Longganisa is currently his latest book written in a semi-autobiographical style.

Ang Paboritong Libro ni Hudas Ang Paboritong Libro ni Hudas (The Favorite Book of Judas) or The Black Book is a 2003 semi-biography book by Filipino author Bob Ong. It was his third published work and the first book where he first introduces fiction to his readers.

Alamat ng Gubat The Alamat ng Gubat (Legend of the Forest) is a 2003 novel which was the fourth book published by Bob Ong, a Filipino contemporary author noted for using conversational Filipino to create humorous and reflective depictions of life as a Filipino.[1] Among Bob Ong's works, it is notable for being the first one to be a self-contained straightforward narrative rather than a collection of anecdotes.[2] Bob Ong later came up with another book written as a straightforward narrative,MacArthur, but it is a very different work because it does not have Bob Ong's signature humorous tone. The story is about a little crab named "Tong" searching for a banana heart to cure his father from sickness. While he begins his journey he finds he and his friends also fight the evil animals in the forest. Alamat ng Gubat is notable for its allegorical references to Philippine society.

Main characters Tong Tong is a small crab who is looking for a banana blossom (heart of a banana )in the forest to cure his sickly father. He is the son of the king of the sea, along with his siblings who are not assigned to the quest. He is engaged to a fish named Dalagang bukid. Tong is pinkish red and is the youngest in the pack of their crab family. Tong also has a brother called Katang who planned to take revenge on him at the middle of the story, Katang did not succeed to take revenge on him because Katang got killed by Leon who stabbed him with a bamboo stick.

Pagong Pagong is a tortoise who is helping Tong in his adventure. He amazes Tong with his collection of turtle eggs. Pagong is an enormous tortoise that is very slow. He is also confused with his sayings and is said to be wisely stupid.

Aso Aso is a wild dog . He is a lost dog living in a forest (which he likes). He also helps Tong to find the banana heart, the whole forest will likely die. Aso has a spot on his left eye and is a little confused with everything he says. He also likes playing.

Kuneho Kuneho is mostly described as a Filipino version of Rabbit. He also s Tong in his adventure in finding the banana heart. Kuneho is a little demanding on everything he says and is a little of always angry . He is tall and gray.

Villains Buwaya Buwaya is a crocodile who at the end, eats Tong's friends and Tong left behind. He announces Tong his "best friend". But Tong doesn't agree. Buwaya s an evil gang in the forest which includes Leon, the gang leader, daga, and Maya, a small bird, who is also buwaya's sidekick and whose main job is to clean buwaya's teeth.

Daga Daga, a rat living in the woods of Saging Republic. He is the tiny sidekick of Leon, Leon influenced Daga to Roar like lions and now, Daga is a part of the gang of evil animals in the forest.

Leon Leon is a lion and is the leader and the founder of the evil packed gang. He influenced Tong's brother, Katang, in ing the evil gang of animals in the forest. Now, him and his gang is an obstacle to Tong's journey in finding the banana heart and saving his beloved father.

Maya Maya is a sparrow which has his own mystery in the book : Good or Evil . Still, even at the end of the book, no one knows what side is he. He is Buwaya's sidekick but since his job is to clean Buwaya's teeth, he always ends up being eaten by the reptile although he manages to escape just in time.

Katang Katang is the brother of Tong and decided to the gang because of Tong. He is planning revenge for Tong because of Tong tricking him that getting deficated on an Adarna bird was good for his asthma. Now he has stolen Tong's is now part of the gang. But at the end, he got squashed by a bamboo stick .

Plot Tong and his friends help find the banana heart in the forest. When Langgam won as the new leader of the forest, he got squashed by an animal. And also, they are being threatened by a gang of evil animals. So Tong, Pagong, Aso and Kuneho fight for the forest and are planning to

save Tong's father. But when Tong's friends were eaten by Buwaya, Tong is left behind. Will Tong ever get the banana heart without killing the whole forest? Tong eventually got the banana heart with the help of an annoying but wise monkey. He has also not harmed the forest but saved it and made it a better place to live in. But of course, no one still knows what has happened to Leon and his gang.

Macarthur (novel) Macarthur or the Red Book is a 2007 novel by Filipino author Bob Ong. It is the sixth published work from Ong. As with all Bob Ong's published novels, it is notable for its use of contemporary street Filipino words. It is also notable for its departure from the usual Bob Ong formula of using humor to comment on the various ironies of Filipino culture. Instead, it offers a gritty, realistic look at life in a Philippine slum community. The title is derived from a slang term for difficult-to-flush faeces — a reference to Douglas MacArthur's famous promise, "I shall return". The cover's background, mostly obscured by the bold typeset of the title and by the red color, depicts a toilet bowl.

Characters 

Noel. Their family was once rich until a sudden slow down of business. He first appeared

in the place on where Cyrus, Voltron and Jim were talking. It was indicated that Noel was just a typical college student who eventually stopped studying because he lacks the money to afford his college test paper. After a quarrel with her sister, Lyla, he was asked by his own father to leave his house, calling him a "good for nothing". He develops a good friendship with Cyrus' grandfather, Mang Justo, until he is shot (mistook for a monster) by Cyrus. In the end, he returns to his family and, although with doubt, is welcomed by his father, along with the rest of the family.



Cyrus. The youngest member of their group. Known for his habit of swallowing objects

after stealing them. Cyrus lives with his grandfather, Mang Justo, to whom he donated his own kidney. Months after the operation, he accidentally killed his grandfather.



Voltron. Also known as Denver and Amadeus. His siblings are Stephen, Brooke, Joshua,

Kurt,and Gwyneth. Voltron is skinny and has a big chest, small head, big hands and feet and looks like a robot that rains saliva when talking. He gets beheaded by a gangster.



Jim. 23 years old, oldest in the group, has a big body which can lift a sack of rice and a

small brain which is enough to carry a foil that will burn crystal meth. He has a wife and son, and is persuaded to leave Manila for the province because of his family's needs.

Kapitan Sino Kapitan Sino (English: Captain Who) is a 2009 novel by Filipino author under the pseudonym Bob Ong. The story revolves around Rogelio Manglicmot, an electrician in the small barrio of Pelaez.

Plot Kapitan Sino is about an electrician, Rogelio Manglicmot, who has a special ability. Other characters include Bok-bok, Rogelio's best friend. He occasionally insults Rogelio, and Tessa, designer of Rogelio's suit. Though she is blind, she is quite talented and intelligent, and Rogelio cares for her. As the story progresses, Rogelio learns how to control his ability and he then decides to become a hero. He was given the nickname "Kapitan Sino" by the people. He soon discovers the town Mayor's secret and Rogelio defeats his son, who had become a giant worm-like monster which lives off human blood. Tessa is the monster's final victim, and after her death Rogelio slowly began to lose all reason to continue in becoming a hero. After the said event, an epidemic spreads, and everyone became desperate to find a cure. Rogelio, blamed for a crime he did not commit, was caught and imprisoned along with his friend Bok-bok. Medics discover that Rogelio's blood may be a cure for the mysterious virus. In the end, Rogelio saves the people by donating his blood. They had tents outside the Church of Pelaez where they had their medical mission but things got out of control so they decided to get some of Rogelio's blood in the Church. He was able to stand and walk out of the Church looking for his parents, still not fully recovered from the blood donation, where a man carrying a child

asked him if his blood was the cure. The man stabbed him and he fell to the ground, the man dipping his hand unto Rogelio's wound. After his ing, Pelaez becomes peaceful and Rogelio is given a commemoration.

Characters 

Rogelio Manglicmot/Kapitan Sino- an ordinary electrician who found himself to have a

special abilities. With the of Bok-bok and Teng a.k.a Tessa, he decided to become a super hero and the people named him as "Kapitan Sino", after the confusion of his name. Later on the story, the father of him stated that Mayor Suico was actually his uncle and, like his uncle, his father also has a special abilities. At the end of the story, Rogelio will die after he lost his blood and an unknown man stab him just to cure his son.



Bok-bok- Bok-bok was the best friend of Kapitan Sino.



Teng/Tessa- Tessa is a childhood friend of Rogelio and Bok-bok. Tessa is blind yet she is

good in deg clothes and very intelligent which is why Rogelio cares for her. She will die later after she is killed by Michael, the son of Mayor Suico.





Aling Chummy- Aling Chummy was known for being a kindhearted person in the town of

Palaez. Later, she will accuse Kapitan Sino for being responsible for killing her late husband.



Mayor Suico- Pelaez's current mayor and had a son Michael,a monster.

He is punched down by Bokbok because of his address in town of Pelaez

Ang mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan Ang mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan (Mama Susan's Friends) is a 2010 mystery novel byFilipino writer Bob Ong published in 2010 by Visprint Inc. It is Ong's eighth book, and his first attempt in the horror/suspense genre. The story revolves around Gilberto P. Manansala (Galo), a college student in an unnamed university in Manila, and his journal entries that he writes for one of his college instructors. In the entries he describes how his everyday situations turn into scary situations, how he uncovers various mysteries and horrors, and how he gets deeply involved in these mysteries and horrors and, in the end, cannot escape them. Some reviews of the book say that the pace is monotonous; however, it does pick up in the end and cryptic Latin messages embedded in Galo's journal entries add a sense of mystery to the story. →" O rex ac regina mundi potentissimi, qui nos vi infinita regitis, vos qui matri nostrae potestatem potentiamque quibus corda mentes animas nostrum regamus attribuistis, auxilium vestrum, di magni atque immortales, precamur. Characters Most characters in Galo's journal are people he encounters every day, and some are not described other than having their name mentioned. It can be concluded that these people, of whom little is known, are the people that Galo cannot understand very well, and that his thoughts stray away from them because of personal issues. Galo: The journal's owner. The story is told from his point of view. He is a student at an unidentified college in Manila, living an ordinary life under the care of his aunt. He has lived with this family since high school and he says that he is thankful for everything that his aunt's family has provided him. At sixteen he is young for a college student, and mentions that he started school at a very young age. Little is known about his appearance, except that he wears glasses and has a short haircut which causes him to be teased as a military cadet. He can be described as a typical male college student from his first journal entries, despite family matters. It can also

be concluded that he is intelligent because, in his journal, he states that even though he spaces out in class while writing in his journal, he still manages to recite and get the correct answer. He also gets an offer from an instructor to write in a publication. It is hinted that he can play the guitar. Tiya Auring(Aunt Auring): Galo's primary guardian and the sister of Galo's mom. She has four children and is aloof and stern, according to Galo's description. He says that he tries not to get involved with his aunt as long as he can get away with it. She is bossy and loud. Tiyo Dindo(Uncle Dindo): Auring's husband and Galo's uncle, who secretly helps Galo in paying his tuition without the knowledge of Galo. Aling Delia: The second-hand of Mama Susan. Mama Susan: Galo's grandmother and the leader of a religious group in their province. She is sick when Galo returns to her home and she dies near the end of the story.

Bob Ong Bob Ong, or Roberto Ong, is the pseudonym of a contemporary Filipino author known for using conversational Filipino to create humorous and reflective depictions of Philippine life. His actual name is not known. The pseudonym Bob Ong came about when the author was working as a web developer and a teacher, and he put up the Bobong Pinoywebsite in his spare time. The name roughly translates as "Dumb Filipino," used fondly as a diminutive term. "Although impressed," Bob Ong notes, "my boss would've fired me had he known I was the one behind it." When someone ed him after mistaking him as an actual person named Bob Ong, his famous pseudonym was born. The site received a People's Choice Philippine Web Award for Weird/Humor in 1998, but was taken down after former President Joseph "Erap" Estrada was ousted after the Second People Power Revolution. There have been occasional confusions between Bob Ong and FilipinoChinese author Charlson Ong. However, Bob Ong himself refutes this in his in Stainless Longganisa, saying his surname is not "Ong" and neither is he even Filipino-Chinese. The family name was instead derived from wordplay on the name of his website. The poet Paolo Manalo has also been put forward as Ong, but he has denied this. but most of the Filipino people believe that the real Bob Ong is no other than Lourd De Veyra, host of the popular program "Word of the Lourd" in TV5.
