Introduction This document will provide to the Customer a comprehensive set of network utilization and capacity statistics, which benchmark the current network and indicate future demands. This Service will collect measurements from the network nodes in the Core Network (MSS, MGW). The purpose of this document is to outline the initial deliverables of the hourly, weekly and monthly Optimization Reports

Benefits to Customer The Core Network Optimization Service brings the following main benefits to CUSTOMER.
2.1
Accurate network utilization data
Existing utilization rates are accurately reported. CUSTOMER will be able to identify and assess under- and over-utilized network resources. To ensure quality of service, these metrics are compared to Ericsson’s recommended dimensioning guidelines. It also serves as an early warning system enabling CUSTOMER to rollout and reconfigure equipment before the capacity thresholds are reached.
2.2
Clear indication of network headroom
A clear view of the existing unused capacity in the network is reported. The Core Network Optimization Service provides invaluable data for network expansion and optimal capacity planning, which can be contrasted with Ericsson’s recommended dimensioning guidelines.
2.3
Problem area identification
Areas where the network is near or at capacity limits are identified. This will give CUSTOMER a clear view if expansions or re-configurations are needed. Also, CUSTOMER can collect data from all or a critical subset of nodes. This allows CUSTOMER to focus and analyze only key areas and services.
2.4
Impact of system changes
This Service can be used to monitor the impact of system changes, such as software upgrades, introduction of new features, expansion and any other adjustment that could affect overall network capacity.

This Service will collect measurements from the network nodes in the Core Network (MSS, MGW). The purpose of this document is to outline the initial deliverables of the hourly, weekly and monthly Optimization Reports

Benefits to Customer The Core Network Optimization Service brings the following main benefits to CUSTOMER.
2.1
Accurate network utilization data
Existing utilization rates are accurately reported. CUSTOMER will be able to identify and assess under- and over-utilized network resources. To ensure quality of service, these metrics are compared to Ericsson’s recommended dimensioning guidelines. It also serves as an early warning system enabling CUSTOMER to rollout and reconfigure equipment before the capacity thresholds are reached.
2.2
Clear indication of network headroom
A clear view of the existing unused capacity in the network is reported. The Core Network Optimization Service provides invaluable data for network expansion and optimal capacity planning, which can be contrasted with Ericsson’s recommended dimensioning guidelines.
2.3
Problem area identification
Areas where the network is near or at capacity limits are identified. This will give CUSTOMER a clear view if expansions or re-configurations are needed. Also, CUSTOMER can collect data from all or a critical subset of nodes. This allows CUSTOMER to focus and analyze only key areas and services.
2.4
Impact of system changes
This Service can be used to monitor the impact of system changes, such as software upgrades, introduction of new features, expansion and any other adjustment that could affect overall network capacity.
