Integration of CRM Credit Limit Check with SAP ECC

The credit limit check in SAP CRM calls up the automatic credit check in SAP ECC. Integration The following graphic shows how SAP CRM and SAP ECC communicate with each other during the credit check.

When SAP CRM receives the check results, it sets credit status at item level, displays overall credit status in the header and enters related messages in the application log. If one or more items have the status Credit Check not OK, the overall status for the transaction is also Credit Check not OK. SAP CRM transfers error-free documents to the OLTP system. It transfers both documents with the status Credit Check OK and those with Credit Check not OK because the latter does not count as an error. In the OLTP system, you can continue processing documents with the status Credit Check OK, (that is, you can create deliveries or billing documents). Prerequisites

To be able to use the SAP ECC credit check, you must define an RFC destination, and specify this destination for the credit check. 



To define RFC destinations in CRM Customizing, choose Customer Relationship Management CRM Middleware and Related Components Communication Setup Define RFC Destinations . To specify destinations for the credit check, choose Customer Relationship Management CRM Middleware and Related Components Communication Setup Middleware Parameters Define Middleware Parameters . Then choose the activity Credit Check and enter an RFC destination for the parameter CRMCREDCHE.

If you are not using an SAP ERP system for financial ing, you need to implement your own checking rules so that SAP CRM can call up this system. To implement checking rules, in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, choose Customer Relationship Management Basic Functions Credit Management Credit Check and Commitment Notification Business Add-Ins . You can also carry out an initial data transfer for credit data. For transactions that are still open for which you are reactivating update of credit data, you can initially transfer the credit data for a reorganization of data in SAP ERP. To do this, start the initial data transfer for object CMDOC_NOTIFY using transaction R3AS.
