Some people may want to take the last few days of the fast and do water only. That is entirely up to you. Even if you “fall off the wagon” anytime during these 21 days just go ahead and start again. You can do it and you will be glad you did.

How to Pray During The Fast BE SPECIFIC ABOUT PERSONAL REQUESTS – it is best to focus on one or two personal requests during this time of fasting. Find Scriptures that provide the basis for your requests and quote those as you pray. Write out prayers, verbalize prayers, sing prayers. PRAY ABOUT CHURCH REQUESTS – Please with me as we ask God for specific areas listed in this brochure. As our entire family agrees together, we are confident He will hear us and answer. GIVE THANKS – Always take time in your prayer to give God thanks for who He is and what He has done and for what He will do. Focus on the names of God, the character of God and worship Him with words, song, and music. PRAY TOGETHER – me each Tuesday morning as we pray together during this fast or with the men on Saturday mornings to pray. Pray with your spouse, your family, or others you can link your faith together as we pray. The church building will be open each day for you to pray in the sanctuary, if you wish during office hours.

What is A Daniel Fast In the book of Daniel chapter 1, you will find the story of how Daniel determined not to defile himself with the King of Babylon’s foods. Daniel and his friends ate fruits and vegetables. The result of the fast was supernatural favor, physical health, divine revelation and answers to prayer. A Daniel fast is a ―partial fast‖ but can be very effective in helping us draw close to God. This is not a Daniel ―diet‖ since the idea is to set time to seek God. As one pastor put it, ―Prayer connects us to God, fasting disconnects us from the world.‖ You can listen to a Bible study Pastor Wayne shared about this on the church website called FASTING WITH DANIEL. Simply stated, fasting is abstaining from food for a spiritual purpose.
