Also, say why is it important to the history of your country. India is the largest democracy in the world and the largest country in South East Asia. But, India has not been democratic since time immemorial. We were under the rule of British for almost 200 years and it was after a long freedom fight that India became independent. In the midnight of 15 August 1947, when the world was asleep, India woke up to a new freedom, with the first Prime Minister as Jawaharlal Nehru. But, what was the most happy moment for the entire country, required so much of effort and so may people becoming martyrs. No matter, how many people we say responsible for our freedom, I believe the first hammer that was struck to Britishers was by Rani Laxmi Bai in 1857. The revolt of 1857 was the first time that the entire India united against the British Rule. The revolt started from Meerut where some sepoys started a rebellion against the Britishers and soon it spread out to the different parts of the country, involving Rani Laxmi Bai, Mangal Pandey, Birjis Qadr,Babu Kunwar Singh and many more. There was no one particular reason for the rebellion but many of them. Britishers had for a long time tried to rule the country indirectly, taking away all the resources of the country and weakening the internal power of the country, not allowing the rulers to rule. Although, at that time, India was being ruled by different forces, when the revolution took place, the entire country went to Bahadur Shah Jafar. Although, India lost that battle, but Britishers realized that if they want to rule the country, they need to rule from Delhi and Indians realized that they too can fight against Britishers. It was after this battle that several groups started coming in to fight against Britishers for freedom, which we definitely got in 1947. 

I clearly my country history event. I never forgot how we got the indepedence from British majesty. Yes, You guess right I am talking about India before 67 years back. That time we all were slave of British goverment. I read it from my history book and also my gradparent told me lot of ture stories about How we got the dependence .How all Indian pepole fought against the British goverment.

It was not only one man work .It included all men ,women,chlidren,old age people that means each and every people fought to got dependence.This fight was started from 1857 by Mangal Pande ,who was the solider in the British army. All India are believe in God and they never ate any type of meat. But the Britiash government told Indian army people to used the gun bullets which were convered with the skin of pig and cow. soldier had to break that cover with the help

of their teet, which was very disgusting things for them. So Mangal pande started fight against that contravercy. That attcak was fail. However all Indian got power to go against Biritish. Meanwhile , Mahatam Gandhi,Jawaharlal Neheru, Bahagt Singh all these national leader were comeforwad to get Independence. Everybody used their startegy to how to get free from them. Mahatam Gandhi who was one of the leader , was playing very important role for getting freedom. He used non volience route to achive the freedom. He started Dandi yatra in which they banned on imported things like cloths and foods item. They took oth alway use Indain things. All these leader fought aganist freedom so that now you are free and can live quietly in Indian. Otherwise still we have to follow the Britinisim.Thank to all who fight for us.
