STAPAFLEX pliable armoured conduits made of steel Pliable armoured steel conduits are made of a high-quality lead-coated sheet iron in multi-layer design. Thanks to their narrow grooving, they are extraordinarily flexible. Depending on the type of pipe, there are layers of impregnated paper in between the iron sheet to provide moisture-proof insulation. One pipe

design is covered with a PVC-P coat for protection against corrosion. By this, these pipes offer protection against moisture, aggressive damps and liquids as well as dangerous electricity. All types of armoured steel conduits are suited for high mechanical loads. The pipes without coating are resistant to temperatures of up to 250 °C. They are light in weight and allow economical installation with no need of special tooling or bends. Fixing is easily done by means of clamps. The narrow grooving suits all standardized steel pipe connectors and provides tensile connection. Threading is not necessary.

Cables often have to be installed in bundles, like in structural engineering, industrial buildings or civil engineering. Protection pipes with integral sockets are a very good option to allow multiple-way ducting in concrete.

Classification To allow the European countries to "grow together", impediments to trade are to be reduced. The harmonisation of national standards into international ones (CEN and CENELEC) comes up to this political request.
No. of DIN standard
In the field of electrical conduits, several standards have been prepared by CENELEC in order to guarantee a uniform product quality in Europe. So there are now standardized nominal diameter series instead of nominal diameters differing from country to country.
In contrast to the so far inch system, these diameters are based on metric measurements. Nominal diameters are now based on the outside diameters and correspond to the following DN series: DN 16, DN 20, DN 25, DN 32, DN 40, DN 50 and DN 63. The following table shows the system of the new standards:

STAPAFLEX pliable armoured conduits made of steel Pliable armoured steel conduits are made of a high-quality lead-coated sheet iron in multi-layer design. Thanks to their narrow grooving, they are extraordinarily flexible. Depending on the type of pipe, there are layers of impregnated paper in between the iron sheet to provide moisture-proof insulation. One pipe

design is covered with a PVC-P coat for protection against corrosion. By this, these pipes offer protection against moisture, aggressive damps and liquids as well as dangerous electricity. All types of armoured steel conduits are suited for high mechanical loads. The pipes without coating are resistant to temperatures of up to 250 °C. They are light in weight and allow economical installation with no need of special tooling or bends. Fixing is easily done by means of clamps. The narrow grooving suits all standardized steel pipe connectors and provides tensile connection. Threading is not necessary.

Classification To allow the European countries to "grow together", impediments to trade are to be reduced. The harmonisation of national standards into international ones (CEN and CENELEC) comes up to this political request.
No. of DIN standard
In the field of electrical conduits, several standards have been prepared by CENELEC in order to guarantee a uniform product quality in Europe. So there are now standardized nominal diameter series instead of nominal diameters differing from country to country.
In contrast to the so far inch system, these diameters are based on metric measurements. Nominal diameters are now based on the outside diameters and correspond to the following DN series: DN 16, DN 20, DN 25, DN 32, DN 40, DN 50 and DN 63. The following table shows the system of the new standards:
