1. Objective The objective of this calculations is to estimate the dimensions of evaporation pond. 2. Basis & Assumptions 1) It is considered that treated waste water from oil/water separator (58-T-01) is to be transferred to evaporation pond for disposal. 2) 200x 1.2 (design margin) BPD of continous flowrate is considered for evaporation pond sizing. 3) For better estimation two seasons are considered . a) Summer season is considered from Apil- September b) Winter is considered from October- March 4) Metrological data is taken from Pakistan Metrolgical Deparatment KOHAT station. Refer Annexure-1 for metrological data 5) Evaporation pond shall be designed such that it should not overflow in any climatic condition during the operating period 6) It is assumed that there is 10000 ppm TDS in the feed. 7) It is assumed that 10000 TDS of water generally produces 0.03 ft3 of solids per barrel. 8)
