III. Procedure A. Preparatory Activities 1. Motivation Ask the Pupils:
Have you seen a cook book? What is your favorite food/dish? How does your mother cook? Today, we will not cook but we will read a recipe called “Hot Chicken and Bacon.” Do you like salad? Let’s find out how to make it.

B. Development of Lesson 1. Presentation (Have the pupils read the recipe.) HOT CHICKEN AND BACON Serves 4 Ingredients: Salad base for 4 plates 4 tbsp olive oil 4 slices bacon, chopped 2 chicken breast, skinned and cubes 2 tbsp lemon juice Procedure: 1. Put the salad base into the four plates. 2. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry (saute’) the bacon and chicken, stirring occasionally until both are lightly browned – about 7 minutes. Add the lemon juice and spoon unto salads. Serve straight away. 2. Analysis and Discussion Ask:

Why do you think that kind of food was served in your home? Lets go back to the ingredients of our recipe. Which of the ingredients are solid? liquid? SOLID
