Surah Nisa Chap. 4 V, 56
Those who reject Our Signs We shall soon cast into the
Fire: as often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the penalty: for Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.
Life after death in Hinduism! Most of the Hindus believe in the cycle of birth, death
and rebirth, which is called ‘Samsara’ . It is mentioned in the Bhagvad Gita “As a person puts
on new garments, giving up old ones, the soul similarly accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless.” (Bhagvad Gita 2:22)
Life after death in Buddhism! Buddha accepted the basic Hindu doctrines of
reincarnation and karma, as well as the notion, common to most south Asian religions, that the ultimate goal of the religious life was to escape the cycle of death and rebirth (samsara).
Life ater death in Christianity ! It includes definite conceptions of the personal continuance of life after death. Many baptized early Christians were convinced they would not die
at all but would still experience the advent of Christ in their lifetimes and would go directly into the Kingdom of God without death. Others were convinced they would go through the air to meet Christ returning upon the clouds of the sky: “Then we who are alive, who are ... (100 of 127030 words)
What philosophers says about this concept? "In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." Abraham Lincoln
The quality of debate [in the House of Lords] is pretty high - and it is, I think, good evidence of life after death Donald Soper quotes (English Methodist minister, 1903-1998) It is a cruel reminder of the fact that there is a deadline for everyone (waheeduddin khan)
Life after Death in Islam
Every soul will taste death then to us will you be
returned (Quran, surah Ankabut v.57) And the toxication of death will bring the truth, that is
what you were trying to avoid (Quran sure Qaf.v.19)
Today’s lesson Fear the day when you will be returned
back to Allah (Quran)
FOUR CORNERS
1
.
What is DEATH?
2. What is AL-AKHIRAH? 3. What is AL-JANNAH? 4. What is AN-NAR?
Continue.... DEATH
-Separation of soul from the body; it receives reward and punishment and the separation of the soul from the body means loss of power of the soul over the body. AL-AKHIRAH
-Is often translated as life after death. -Is also interpreted as the “ends of life” as opposed to the dunya or here-and-now of life. -It begins with the resurrection of man, after which there will come a moment when every human will be shaken as he confronted with his intentions and his deeds, good and bad, and even his failure to do good in this life.
THE HEREAFTER: desirable and necessary Without the idea of the Hereafter – of resurrection, and
judgment and just recompense, God would not be the just and wise and merciful God that He is. God created people and made them responsible for their actions. If there is no future life in which the virtuous are rewarded and the vicious suffer loss, there would be no justice. There would be no purpose in creating people with a sense of responsibility and sending prophets to them to remind them of these responsibilities if there is no future life. It is necessary to clarify the purposes of life so that men may see clearly the real ends of life and what they have been striving for.
God says in the Qur’an:
“Or do those who earn evil deeds think that We shall hold
them equal with those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, in their present life and their death? Worst is the judgment that they make. And Allah has created the heavens and the earth with truth, in order that each person may be recompensed what he has earned, and they will not be wronged.” 45:21-22
SCENES OF THE HEREAFTER: The Resurrection At a time when God sees fit, the world as we know it will be brought to an end in a terrifying cosmic cataclysm and all will be brought to . God says in the Qur’an: A)
“When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake. And man will say: “What is the matter with it? That Day it will declare its information (about all what happened over it of good or evil). Because your Lord has inspired it. That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups, that they may be shown their deeds. So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.” Az-Zalzalah:1-8
B) The Judgment Just as each person is born as a single individual, so he or
she will be raised up and judged individually. A record of each person’s deeds on earth will have been kept and will be produced as evidence on the Day of Judgment. No person will be able to deny the contents of this record and the parts of his body – his feet, and skin – will testify against him. Many will wish for another chance to make amends, but in vain. A person will be judged by the preponderance of good or evil in him.
God says in the Qur’an:
“And We shall set up balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And Sufficient are We as Reckoners.” 21:47
C) The Recompense PUNISHMENT and HELL The fruits of ingratitude, disobedience, and rebellion against God is disgrace, humiliation and punishment. This punishment, is a sign of God’s just anger (ghadab) will be visited on the sinners even on earth, as was the case with the people of Sodom. God says: “And on the Day when those who were bent on denying the truth are exposed to the Fire (and will be told): You dissipated your good things in your worldly life and you took your enjoyment in them; therefore today you shall be recompensed with the reprimand of humiliation for having glorified on earth in your arrogance, offending against all that is right, and for all your evil doings.” 46: 19-20 1.
2. REWARD and PARADISE The fruits of submission to God, of living in harmony with
His wills, of living the natural way, is satisfaction (ridwaan) in this life and eternal happiness in the next. God says in the Qur’an:
“Allah has promised to the believers - men and women - , Gardens which rivers flow to dwell therein forever, and beautiful mansions in Gardens of ‘Adn (Eden Paradise). But the greatest bliss is the Good Pleasure of Allah. That is the Supreme Success.” 9:72
CLOSURE: What will you do when you get up on next morning seeing
yourself lying down with your family and friends crying beside your body?
People forget DEATH in split of seconds, but death NEVER
forgets you and the best enemy that you have right now other than SHAYTAN is TIME, because every tic-tac of it is a countdown to your last breath!
So let us prepare ourselves for the HEREAFTER, because it
is our TRUE HOME!
