P6: Plan an e-commerce strategy. In this task I am going to pan an ecommerce strategy for cuckoo business. And as a result of ecommerce strategy cuckoo will be able to boost his business up such as he will have more sales, etc. Ecommerce strategy could include aspects such as structure of the website what I mean by this such as it should be easy to use to illustrate it better I have explained more aspects below:Structure of the website Easy accessibility:According to my opinion, the website should be eye catchy what I mean by this is such as it should contain imager which should be clear and there should information under the image this is so the can know what the image is about. Moreover, it should be easier to access what I mean by this is such as should be able to navigate the website this can be done by making a navigation so can easily switch between pages without any hassle. Lastly, the website should have everything working what I mean by this is such as the buttons should work properly and they should be linked to the right page. And as a result of having this aspect it will be more likely that the will stay on cuckoo’s website. Product Display:Product Display should be highly consider by Cuckoo watches what I mean by this when cuckoo is posting his products such as watches and clocks he should clearly describe the item details and then product quality as a result of this cuckoo will get less returns and his website will attract more customers. Furthermore, Product description should have persuading words as it will attract reader such as “best watch ever” and the should be able to find the product without any hassle such as cuckoo should have an item number under every product this is so it can be easier for the to find the product. Entering personal details and payment methods:Entering personal details should be easier what I mean by this is such as it should be easier for the to in details such as should be able to enter the details without nay hassle such as name , email and address. Furthermore, to attract a cuckoo should add different payment methods such as should be able to choose from different payment methods such as PayPal, bank card, google wallet and this will be very helpful to as will always have another payment if in case ’s card doesn’t work he/she will have a choice to use PayPal. Promotion of site:-

Promotion of site has to be highly considered this is so Cuckoo can promote his business the way he can do this by is such as by ments and search engines. To illustrate it better I have explained these methods below in more detail. According to my opinion, ments would be the best to promote an e-commerce system as Cuckoo can pay a little money to promote his money.

An example for this could be such as by promoting Cuckoo’s business on EBay, Google as these are very and if Cuckoo’s ads are interesting the will be more likely to click on the ad as a result of this cuckoo website will get popular. Another example for promoting his website is by using search engines such as by As cuckoo ecommerce website will be new therefore the customers won’t know the URL of his website so the best thing to do in this case will be to pay the most famous search engine such as google, Bing so his website can be prominent. The way it will work is such as if type “cu” cuckoo watches will automatically appear so in case if a was looking for cuckoo’s website it will become easier for the customer to find his website and as a result of this cuckoo website will get promoted. There is one more type of search engine which could also help Cuckoo to promote his business it is known as Spider search. Spider search is a very popular search engine and this will also help cuckoo to promote his business in very less time the way it works is as follows. The engine basically goes through the pages which have searched for such as if a is searching for watches and if cuckoo has got spider search on his ment will come up and it also uses meta tags such as if Cuckoo has meta tags related to clocks and watches and if ’s searches matches cuckoo’s meta tags his ment will come up so as a result of this his business will become popular. Finally, the promotion can be done through banners and leaflets such as cuckoo can hire people who can distribute leaflets in high street and in tourist attractions as there are more people there. Banners could be displayed on gas station and on motorways as a result of this people will get to know about his business who are busy and use less internet. Costs: Setup & Maintenance costs: According to my opinion cuckoo should at least have about £25000 for setup and maintenance. Setup costs will include all the hardware, software costs such as to purchase the hardware to make the control the website such as web server, computer this is so the employees can work on it and also domain fees this is so cuckoo website can go online so to cover all these costs cuckoo will need around £1000. Furthermore, Cuckoo will also need to pay employees , to maintain the website such as to make sure it is updated it doesn’t have any errors because of his website gets hacked all customer details will be stolen and as a result of this no will trust on his website so to make sure that this doesn’t happen he will need to hire penetration testers this is so they can test his website for any errors and this will cost him about £15000 so overall cost to setup and maintain the website will be £25000. Rent: The most important aspect will be such as cuckoo will need to hire a place this is so the employees can work in there and he can have his own setup. According to my suggestion, cuckoo should have his office outside the London as it will be cheaper therefore cuckoo will save money and outside the London the rent for a place will be about £500 a month.

Security: Security is very important and as a result of security the website will stay protected. So, to make sure that cuckoo’s website stays protected he will need to purchase firewall to illustrate this better I have explained firewall in more detail below. Firewall is a type of protection which will protect cuckoo’s website against unauthorized access as it won’t allow the system to receive bad traffic such as malicious codes , malwares, therefore this will protect cuckoo’s website for example if a hacker tries to hack cuckoo’s website it will be hard for the hacker as firewall inspects every bit of data which is being received and sent through internet therefore firewall will block the data which is sent by a hacker therefore it helps to perform tasks without any interruption from malwares therefore firewall could be installed on a server as it inspects every single data and as a result of this hacking will be prevented and according to my suggestion a good firewall will cost cuckoo about £3000 and as a result of this his website will stay protected. Advertising: To make sure that cuckoo’s website gets famous he will need to his website best methods of advertising his website is through TV ads and leaflets so the way he can do this is by promoting his ad on television and distribute leaflets on highstreets as this will be beneficial to people who rarely go on internet so according to my suggestion advertising will be relatively cheaper such as it can cost him up to £1500 to £2000 depending on how long his ad is on TV. Delivery strategy: Delivery could be expensive but according to my suggestion cuckoo should offer free delivery for products under £100 because as a result of offering free delivery on products under £100 cuckoo will attract more customer towards his products and also cuckoo should clearly write “free delivery” under the products this is so it can be eye catchy and also the time of the delivery such as when the product will get delivered this is so the customer doesn’t raise any issue. If cuckoo offers free delivery it will cost him about £600 per 100 deliveries depending on the product weight.

Hosting: ISP: It is very important for cuckoo to choose a right ISP for hosting his website this is so the website data can be quickly transferred between server and ’s network therefore he will need an ISP with high speed as if the ISP is slow then it will take longer for his website to load up and as a result of this his website might face issues such as crashing therefore it might disconnect customer and this will be a bad impression towards a customer and as a result of this his website might not get popular. Whereas if he has a good ISP such as an ISP with high speed it won’t take longer for the to open his website up as the data will be transferred quickly from web server to ’s network so as a result of this even if there are more customers on his website his website won’t slow down and it will be a good impression towards a customer therefore customer will be more likely to use his website. In house or sub-contracted: In house hosting it think will be better than sub-contracted hosting to illustrate this better I have given the reasons below. In house hosting means cuckoo will have his own setup such as his own web server

Whereas, sub-contracted hosting means he won’t have to hire any technicians or will have to buy any hardware so this will save him money but privacy will be main concern as cuckoo won’t know what are sub-contractor doing with his website such as they might steal data so according to my suggestion should go for in house hosting as privacy comes first and this may cost him about £7000. Conclusion: Above I have explained all the ecommerce strategy for cuckoo business and if these are followed by cuckoo he will have a success in business such as more sales.
