Factors affecting the Theme park industry with respect to Samsung: PESTEL Analysis: 1. Political: Government regulation very strict, limitation of land, cost of high due to 100% insurance. 2. Economical: The cost of maintenance for the theme park is huge. This expense is unavoidable as the nature of the business requires regular maintenance works and upgrading tasks. The cost of land is also too high and the government regulation is very strict to lend land for these purposes, therefore it will be difficult for Samsung to acquire more land to address its issue of parking. 3. Social: Availability of leisure time, seasonal in nature due to school holidays on spring/summer. This led to problems such as employee management. 4. Technological: The theme parks were technological driven. Only few producers were the technology provider of the machinery used in parks. 10% of the cost was on technology. 5. Legal: The industry was license based, and the licenses were very difficult to obtain. Utilities such as power, gas and water approval took more than 5 years. 6. Environmental: Expanding farmland means more land, but there were environmental concerns regarding the change of land use. 7. Organisational: Farmland needed major change in organisational style due to the fact that they were lagging well behind their competitors in of service oriented employees.
