PART 1 SCENE 1 (An ocean. Birds are flying. ) Scuttle: Ladies and Gentlemen, we are going to perform the LITTLE MERMAID... Seagulls: the litthe Mermaid?... Scuttle: Yes, and the story begins on a ship... ( From the fog a ship appears crashing through ) Pilot: Sailors! Sailors: Yes, Sr. !! Pilot: Go to Work!,,,

( sailors go to their places and pretend to be cleaning the floor) SONG : fathoms below (dance)

Seagulls: Where is everyone? I don't see any fish around. Scuttle: don't you know? Seagulls: know what? Scuttle: there's going to be a concert... Seagulls: a concert? Where?can we go? Scuttle: of course not! it's under the sea! All the Merpeople are going to be there and also king of the sea ! Seagulls: ohh! We wish we could go! Listen to it... ( they pretend to be listening)

SCENE 2

( various fish swimming. Merpeople converge on a great undersea concert) King Triton: what are we waiting for? Sea Horses: for the festivity to begin! sebastian.

SCENE 3

( fish sights and swins away/ Ariel enterss and Flounder. Rushes after her)

Flounder: Ariel ! Wait for me! ( from distance) Ariel: Flounder hurry up! ( flounder and Ariel meet Scuttle in the little Island) Ariel: Scuttle! (Scuttle is looking through the telescope the wrong way) ! Scuttle: Ariel! How you doing kid? Ariel: Scuttle, look what we found! Flounder: Yes, we were in a sanken ship! Scuttle: WOW! Flotsam & Jetsam: Yes, mistress of the deep! Ursula :what news do you have? Flotsam : King Triton and the Merfolk are celebrating your defeat! Jetsam: and he blames you for the queen's death! (Ariel appears with Flounder)

King Triton: The celebration was a disaster! Sebastian: well, it was ruined! Completely destroyed! Now, thanks to you I'm the laughing of the whole Kingdom! Flounder: But, it wasn't her fault! ... (Flotsam and Jetsam enter towards the end of the song. Ariel doesn't see them) (Sebastian has been struggling around and now comes crashing down making a lot of noise.) Flotsam: sssick of ssswimming..?

Jetsam: out of the sssea..? Flotsam & Jetsam :Hmmmmmm. (Disappear in the shadows) Ariel: Sebastian? Sebastian: what is all this? Ariel: err,... it's just my - collection. . . . Sebastian: Oh. I see. Your collection. Hmmm. IF YOUR FATHER KNEW ABOUT THIS..... Flounder: You're not gonna tell him, are you? Ariel: Oh, please, Sebastian, he would never understand. SCENE 6

NARRADOR: 1. On the surface, the sea was calm. 2. Eric, Grimsby and the sailors were dancing on the ship. 3. Suddenly a storm was approaching. 4. The large ship was turned over. 5. The prince fell into the water and sank into the deep sea. 6. The little Mermaid swam quickly and brought him to the shore. (Prince Eric rolls onto the beach and Ariel and Flounder are in the sea. Scuttle flies on.) Ariel: Was I too late? ( Scuttle flies to Eric) Scuttle: It's hard to say. ( He flirs to Eric's feet, and picks one up to his ear) I can't make out a heartbeat. (Eric starts to breathe) Ariel: No look! He's breathing! Oh Scuttle, just look at him. He's so beautiful.

MUSIC. Part of your world reprise 1. Grimsby: (offstage) Prince Eric! Ahoy! Scuttle: on your way Kid....

(Ariel and Flounder swim away.... grimsby enters) Grimsby: Oh Prince Eric! Are you alright? ..... Get away you filthy bird! Prince Eric: A girl rescued me..... She was singing! Grimsby: You took a terrible tumble dear boy. Prince Eric: That voice! I can't get it out of my head. Grimsby: Come with me. Prince Eric: I must find her and thank her for saving my life. Grimsby: You've heard too many tales my boy. Prince Eric: No. No she was real. Grimsby: As real as a Mermaid on the rocks.

PART 2 Scene 7 King Triton's Palace

SONG: She's in Love. (The Mersisters sing and dance) ( Sebastian and King Triton enter) King Triton: In love? My little Ariel? King Triton: Flounder! Flounder: Who ? Me? King Triton: Tell me... Who is the lucky merman?

Flounder: Err...I don't know! (Exits) King Triton: Sebastian! ...Any idea? Sebastian: Oh. I tried to stop her..... "Ariel, you've got to stay away from those humans". King Triton: Humans? Sebastian: Err... Who said anything about Humans? ( he runs off) King Triton: Sebastian! Have you been keeping secrets from me? (he exits).
