STATEMENT OF PURPOSE "Knowledge is better than riches since knowledge guards you whereas you have to guard riches. Knowledge governs while riches are governed. Riches diminish with spending but knowledge increases therewith". -Ali abu Abi Tabb My name is Amanpreet Kaur and I have always been driven by the desire to reduce human suffering and help sick people. Hard work,self discipline and sincerity are the few qualities that define me as a student. In this era of globalisation, my aim is to seek a challenging and responsible position in an institution requiring strong analytical, conceptual and organisational skills. Education is the source of inspiration and the cause of intelectual development for me.

Academic Background : As far as my academics are concerned, I have done my 10th in 2007 with 84%. After Matric, I pursued my +2 in medical stream in 2009 with 67%.Furthermore I successfully completed my Bsc in nursing from Government Nursing College, Rajindra Hospital,Patiala with 70% in 2013. After

completion of my bachelor’s degree I work with Dayanand Medical Hospital,Ludhiana for approximately 1.5 years (from october 2013 to february 2015) as a staff nurse. Then, I prepared for IELTS and obtain 6.5 overall bands in August 2015. For better prospects I have decided to continue my further study in the same field. Then I started surfing on the internet for the countries and universities for MSC nursing and at the end I short listed three countries London, Australia and U.S.A.

Why i choose Australia : I spend nearly 1.5 years in my job and realized that in the nursing field of experience if I want to grow myself then it is very important to take the knowledge of new medical technologies. Australia is a leading country with great medical inventions. So this time I want to improve my skills in professional front. Australia is currently the third most popular destination for international students in the English-speaking world. Australian education is globally recognized. International students are able to work part time while they study, allowing them to offset their living costs. Australia is at the forefront of new technology and innovations. Students who study in Australia can take advantage the country’s impressive technology and research resources. Universities in Australia offer a wide variety of courses to meet each and every student's requirements. The curriculum and infrastructure are latest while the faculty is up-to-date and result-oriented.

Why I choose Master of Nursing Science : As a highly capable individual with a strong academic background I am proud to say that I already possess a comprehensive knowledge of Nursing . This course will prepare me to develop advanced skills in clinical inquiry, management and leadership in nursing field. Thus I can

contribute myself in providing best nursing care and nursing education in the nursing segment of medical sector. I can begin my career in nursing research too after completion of this course.

Nursing faculty is in great demand due to increasing medical institutions and awareness of people towards health. After completing my Masters I

would be able to return to my home country with a great academic and personal growth and various new opportunities would be available to me . There are top Multispeciality Hospitals like All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS),Post Graduate Institute of Medical and Research(PGIMER) and many more where I can directly recruited at senior post and earn handsome salary package.This course will provide me a new horizon and I decided to bring what I have learned back and make contribution toward the progress of my country.
