Dedicated to family story time.

Once upon a time On a desert island, there lived a boy in a castle made of sand.

On the beach he would frolic and play. Twere activities as these that filled each day.

Surfing in the ocean and collecting shells on the shore

“is all I need to survive,” he’d implore.

There never arose a problem to oversee, tucked away in his kingdom by the sea.

Because he was raised by chimpanzees, He oftentimes questioned his identity.

“Why can’t I swing like the monkeys in the trees?

Or race the seals in the roaring seas?”

He was not able to comprehend the animal joys. For he had no idea, he was just a boy.

He noted to himself why unlike the snake he has toes, And how his differed from an elephant’s nose.

It was unbearable to see such a disgrace. Why he even tried taping a hose to his face.

That is, until one day when a visitor arrived on the island. Up until then, he had never seen another human.

It was then that he noticed what striking features.

Never so beautiful had he seen such a creature.

Her eyes were the color of a deep blue night. He was overtaken by this incredible sight.

At that point he realized he too was a child. For she informed him that he was not an animal of the wild.

At that time the animals began to parade and sing. As she showed him the way, Taking him under her wing

They sailed off the coast to begin a new life. Later they married as new man and wife.

Heather and Linda are mother and daughter. They currently reside in San Diego, California.
