TOUR 128: Entrepreneurship and Business Planning Dear 3rd years students, Good evening! I apologize for the delay of my message and the PPT attachment. Here is the summary of the entire Chapter 1 of your business plan. You can also refer to the PPT for more details about specific parts. Though I hope you could also find this message useful. If you have any questions you can email me at
[email protected]. You don’t need to put borders on the output that you will . THANKS! See you on Wednesday! Ms. Colmenar
Chapter 1: The Company A. Company Summary (You don’t need to include this part yet since I have told you that you can only create this when you have actually finished your business plan at the end.) B. The Logo (Keep in mind the tips I have given you in creating your company logos. Don’t forget to apply it in your work.) C. Vision Statement (Your organization’s dream for the future.) D. Mission Statement (It states the purpose of your company.) E. Management (I have not discussed this further but it is basically the job positions that your company will have and the reasons you need those positions.
Enumerate them all and give the reasons behind hiring or needing a specific person. An example of this can be: ant – will take charge of all the financial aspects of the company.) F. Organizational Chart (Illustrate in chart form the positions that will be available in your company. There is no need to name who will be the president, vice president, etc of your company. You can refer to online examples for org charts that are similar to the nature of your businesses.) G. Job Description and Function Definition (In this part, it is almost the same as the Management but here you would have to write in detail what every job in your company entails. What are the tasks that each employee must fulfill?) H. Critical Success Factors (Lastly, I was not able to discuss this in class but this is just about the things that will be necessary for an organization or business to succeed. For example, you have technological advancement or state of the art facilities. These are the things that will set you apart from the businesses that are similar to you. You must ask yourself “Why would clients choose your business over the others? What is so special about your business? The answer to this will be your critical success factor.)
