The anthurium flower is also known by the more descriptive name of flamingo flower. it is a subtropical plant that has large, heart-shaped green leaves. The flower, which grows on a tall stem, is a deep pink color that resembles a flamingo. In warm climates, the plant will bloom year-round, with each bloom lasting for approximately six weeks before falling off. Propagation of the anthurium plant is easily done by taking a cutting.
