From the desk of the Dean Welcome to Quality Management Education Experience at IMT Centre for Distance Learning, Ghaziabad. These are unnerving times for higher education in India. Academic institutions are struggling with cut throat competition internally and externally. Employers are finding little value in the degrees and certificates of students. Evolution and Revolution in technology is much faster now. The fact remains India is facing huge unmet demand for higher education and insufficient seats at Institutes of higher learning. Research findings suggest students pursuing higher education shall double by 2025 which will further constrain our capacity to reach the objective - “no one is left behind”. Distance Learning alone can help us overcome it. There is a public backlash against rising tuition and student debt which cannot be overcome by establishing conventional educational institutions but by distance learning systems. We at IMT believe in the philosophy “whom do we serve” and how well we can reach out to those who can’t afford expensive education. IMT CDL is the tier one non-traditional experience in management and business education having been recognised, as a world class Indian institute. The time pressure and life’s demand make it harder for a working professional to develop managerial skills through conventional institutions. As the work place becomes increasingly challenging and competitive in the 21st century, the right management education and qualification has become a crucial success factor for working professionals. IMT Centre for Distance Learning (IMT CDL) is the most apt answer to meet the management education requirements of working professionals. The state-of-the-art infrastructure at IMT CDL enables the learners to experience world class management education with ease and flexibility and without the need to remain away from work. The vast digital repository of high quality management lectures by our distinguished faculty, proctored examinations, assignments, a large digital library and an advanced learning platform ensure an enriching and effective learning process. Also, free and optional subject mentoring available for all learners is a great facility for working executives to successfully complete and acquire a management qualification from IMT CDL. It is also heartening to note that IMT CDL has been ranked #1 in various recent surveys on distance education in the country. It is an opportunity to several thousand alumni who reposed their confidence and rose to greater heights on the ladder of their professional career. I invite you and assure you of achieving your learning goals. Our Journey for over three decades is a testimony that we have kept our promises throughout.

Sample ission Test Nature of Test The ission test is an objective type test (multiple choices). The test designed to measure a person’s general aptitude, namely: Proficiency in English Language | Quantitative and Numerical Ability | Ability for Data Analysis and Interpretation Reasoning and General Interpretation | Awareness of Socio-economic Environment
Proficiency in English Language age In almost all developing countries, the initial thrust of their respective trade policies was to foster domestic industries whose production would replace imports. This was a natural and logical strategy, given that import-substituting production could count on an existing known domestic demand, promised some mitigation of national economic dependence, and could be protected easily from external competition through high tariffs, quotas, or subsidies of various kinds. Which of the following, if true, would weaken the strategy above? A. Domestic demand may be unknown B. Quotas are more regressive than tariffs C. Subsidies and import constraints keep domestic prices high and impose a burden on consumers D. Fast economic growth fosters inequality of income E. A protectionist policy may beneficial to the developing country, but disliked by economically advanced countries
Quantitative and Numerical Ability A home tutor X has a daily routine. He provides his service to six students A, B, C, D, E and F on each day of a week. He does not provide his service simultaneously to any two persons. He has a fixed schedule for doing his work. One of the significant features of his schedule is that he starts teaching his first student at 10 AM and teaches him for 30 minutes, He takes as many minutes in reaching the next, again he teaches this student for 40 minutes and again takes as much time in reaching the third student. In this way both his teaching time and reaching time go on increasing by 10 minutes for every successive student. After teaching the last student he leaves for home. The time taken for homeward journey is as much as in teaching the last student. Study the following clues and answer accordingly: • Mr. X has to reach A immediately before C and immediately after D. • At least two students are taught immediately before and after A. • Mr. X does not provide his services first either to B or to E. • B is taught before at least three persons. 1. At what time does Mr. X reach home? (A) 9AM (B) 9PM (C) 6.20PM
(D) 10.30PM

(E) 11PM
(E) 12.30PM
3. Who among the following is the last student of the day who Mr. X provides his services? (A) D (B) E (C) C (D) F (E) A
