A Friend in Jesus

I felt I had a need of someone today Someone to talk too, to help me on my way So I got on my knees, l took time to pray But I just knelt there; I had nothing to say

How could someone like I talk too Someone who seems so unknown, like You Has I knelt there I felt like such a fool For I knew not what to say or what to do

But as I knelt on my knees patiently waiting there I could feel Your presence coming ever so near Touching Your warmth on my face I felt a tear I realized You came to show me that You care

So I humbly fell prostrate there upon my face I said surely the presence of God is in this place And has I lay there in awe my heart began to race

Then I realized how wonderful was His amazing grace

Today I needed someone who I could confide in I needed a reassurance that I was free from sin I needed a reminder that Jesus lives within And He gave me His reassurance; I was born again

So today if you need such a friend as this You feel you can’t go on; your life’s in a mess Why not talk to Jesus, give Him your request Just come unto Jesus, He will give you rest R:#1

A Man Called Jesus

There was a man called Jesus Who lived a long, long time ago He traveled through all Israel Doing a lot of great miracles

He went out to a wedding one day There He turned water into wine He healed a man who had leprosy And opened the eyes of a man who was blind

He caused the lame to walk again And He walked on the sea of Galilee All of the people who were bound within His words did set their spirits free

He gave them hope; He gave them life He gave them something worth living for A promise of many blessings in this life

Then eternal life with Him forever more

So when we die our soul still lives And goes to live with Jesus in Heaven Whoever believes in Jesus for Salvation This new eternal life to them is given R:#2

A Message from Heaven

I have just been sent this message from Heaven To tell you more about the love you were given For His commandment was to love one another Not as the world but with the love of the Father

This love I have given you is not the worldly kind For it gives joy to your soul and peace to your mind It will give you strength for today, hope for tomorrow A life filled with happiness, never a worry or sorrow

So here are the things I would like you to do Go out and do for others what I did for you Show My love to your neighbor; be kind to them Comionately remind them if they live in sin

Gently tell them about Jesus, why He came to die When He shared everything with His Father on high He could have taken the world and rid it of man

And destroyed everything and start all over again

But He looking down upon man Gods fallen creation Which kept falling farther away in each generation Said to His Father I know what thing I will do I will give my life for them and win them to You

For I behold man and see the image of Myself And in My likeness I do not see in anything else So I will deny Myself and become their Sacrifice I will become sin for them and pay the price

And this love, which I will show on My part I will place deep inside of each believers heart Then they too may be self-denied and show this love Which I have given to man from the Father above

So go to your brother and sisters in Christ Take up your cross and for them sacrifice Your time, your food or whatever their needs Do as your Saviour, giving alms of good deeds

Do unto others, as you would like them too In times of troubles help to see them through Share with them this undying love of the Father For this My Commandment is you love one another R:#3

A Newborns Direction

If you are a new born child of God Don’t be dismayed by those who think you’re odd Forgive them for they know not what they do Just the way that God has forgiven you

For many mockers and scoffers each day Like so called friends will turn from you away They will not want to have you around anymore Things will be much different than it was before

But don’t be discouraged by all of this Because God is about to straighten your mess New friends you’ll soon have who’ll care for you For when you are saved He makes all things new

Your life will keep changing now day by day For all of the old things must away A brand new creature you will soon become

And one day have a oneness with Gods only Son

Many temptations and trials will come your way So read the Scriptures and learn how to pray Put your trust in Jesus be determined to win And by faith believe and live your life for Him R:#4

A Shepherd Boy

Lord, help me to be a shepherd boy deep down in my heart Teach me how to seek and pray that I may do my part To do the best I can to help you protect your sheep And build a Spiritual wall around them to safely keep

And if the wolf happens by my way, Lord make me strong That I may stand before him firm until he is gone Let me not be as a hireling who will run from the flock But let me stand firmly grounded in You my Solid Rock

And when I hear much bleating of Your sheep, going astray Give me the wisdom to take the time to kneel and pray That I may know the reason of their confusion and Know what I may do to calm and ease their souls again

But when the wolf at times appear as an angel of light When he reveals his ugly face Your sheep all get a fright Confused and running to and fro not knowing what to do

Help me to be that shepherd boy who will bring them back to You

Lord grant me the portion of Your Holy Spirit with fire That I may have the power that a shepherd must require To faithfully lead Your sheep safely through the land To protect them and to teach and help them understand R:#5

A Touch of the Master

Just like so many I was lost deep in sin I had no intentions of asking Jesus to come in I was content living a way that I thought was right And would do all I could to keep God from my sight

I ignorantly went on living this way year after year Not showing to anyone a sign of a worry or care Whatever I was feeling I kept bottled up in myself With no intentions of sharing it with anyone else

But then one evening I was invited out to church And was sitting comfortably where I had perched I was listening to the music, which soothed my soul Not realizing the Holy Spirit was gaining control

He was preparing my heart to receive what lay ahead When the preacher preached on, Hells living but dead Then the Holy Spirit of God convicted me deep within

And convinced me that I was living vainly in sin

Hell was so hot and the grave seemed so near I wanted to get up and run but I would not dare So I rushed to the alter and cried, O God, please And He forgave me and saved me there on my knees

All it took was a touch of the Master for me Just one touch of His hand and I was set free And if you would just trust Him you would agree That all it took was a touch of the Master for me R:#6

Always be Faithful

I have decided that I would accept you And to receive you as Lord of my whole life Therefore I am putting all my trust in you That You may care for me as a husband do his wife

So Lord you know at times I will be a problem And in my time of moods will want things my own way Please be patient on me Lord in times like these Until I come to my senses and take the time to pray

I know You are forgiving and I will need forgiveness For the many foolish things that I will say and do Because I do not yet understand Your will for me And have not put all my trust and faith in You

But in time after many mistakes and corrections I’m sure that Your will I will learn and obey For when I get familiar with Your inner voice

I will listen more closely to what You have to say

As for now all I can do is to make You this promise That I will do my very best to be faithful to You And I am trusting that You will be faithful to me By taking my hand and patiently seeing me through

I will always be faithful to You my Saviour I will always be faithful to You I will always be with You eternally, forever I will always be faithful to You R:#7

An Empty Tomb and the Word

There is today an empty tomb Where Jesus Christ once laid And He left His word to prove to us The price He, for our Salvation paid

The rugged cross on which He died It can no longer by man be found Nor the crown of thorns He wore Or His blood stains upon the ground

There are many things we cannot find To show to us He once did live But still He left us living proof Why He came His life to give

For He gave to us His Holy Spirit To teach and help us to receive But the decision He left to us

It’s our choice now to believe R:#8

An Empty Vessels Prayer

Lord here I come to You again With nothing in my hands I bring Not relying on my own self esteem But realizing in You is everything

Everything that I need to have Everything that I need to know Everything I need to see me through While I am living life here below

There is nothing that I can offer You Only me just being my own self Giving my life into Your hands From me you are asking nothing else

So here am I, Lord just as I am I hope I can be of some use to You I know I’m tattered, dirty and worn

But I know that You can make me as new

I’m not a very attractive vessel Lord My body is empty and my weak is dry But I’m sure that You can make me shine If You would only take the time to try

And if You fill me up with Your oil Then light a fire so my weak will glow You know I just may be that light That could guide back some dying soul

Back into Your arms of tender mercy To be embraced by Your arms of love That You, may there prepare them For their heavenly home with You above

So here I am Lord waiting and willing That You may have Your perfect will Show to others Your mercy through me And save them from an eternal hell

Giving them hope to press onward, forward Showing them visions of that heavenly shore Where we will one day be gathered, united To eternally live with You forever more R:#9

Battle of the Flesh

I wish I could do that which I should do That the works of the flesh were not within Causing me to do those things I would not do If I were not so easily deceived to fall for sin

For within my flesh there lies no good thing It causes me to lust after things I don’t need And Leeds me into some fiery trial or temptation After my lustful desire have sown some sinful seed

In my mind there is a continuous raging war There is a constant battle to do bad or good The memories of my past coming to my Trying to stop me from doing the things that I should

So it is not I myself who do these sinful things Which if I could stop I would not reframe to do But this wretched man that I am must suffer

Within this body of sin until I am made anew

For unclearly now I see Jesus as looking through a glaze But soon I will behold Him in His glory and majesty For I shall be changed into His image and likeness When I am caught up with Him into all eternity R:#10

Be a Good Neighbor

Go ahead and help your neighbor Go ahead and be their friend Go and share with them the gospel And try to help them understand

Go ahead and tell them about Jesus Of how He came to die for their sin Go ahead and be a good neighbor Go and tell the good news to them

Many people who are living around us Either do not believe or understand That the reason Jesus came and died Was all part of Gods Salvation plan

He had to have a perfect Sacrifice And nothing on earth could be found So He said I will give part of Myself

That’s when Heavens glory came down

And Mary the beautiful young virgin Was chosen to give birth to His Son There would never be another like Him He would be Gods only begotten One

Go ahead and help your neighbor Go ahead and be their friend Go and share with them the gospel And try to help them understand

Go ahead and tell them about Jesus Of how He came to die for their sin Go ahead and be a good neighbor Go and tell the good news to them

He was as a choice lamb for slaughter With not a blemish of fault or sin He would be Gods perfect Sacrifice To die for the Redemption of all men

Because there must be a shedding of blood For some reason to wash mans sin away Go help your neighbor so they might see That they could receive Salvation today

Go ahead and help your neighbor Go ahead and be their friend Go and share with them the gospel And try to help them understand

Go ahead and tell them about Jesus Of how He came to die for their sin Go ahead and be a good neighbor Go and tell the good news to them R:#11

Be Ready

Many folk today are like those virgins Five were foolish and five were wise As in the story like the five of them Many living today will be surprised

For many have grown cold toward God And have become lukewarm to His word The message goes forth from anointed lips But it seems it like they are seldom heard

They once but oil into their lamps Which caused their lights within to shine But they figured that they had enough To last them until the end of time

Like the foolish virgins they only took Just enough oil to see them through Just enough to get them by for a while

An amount that they had figured would do

But a little late the bridegroom came They did not have enough oil to last And while in darkness searched for more The bridegroom came by and swiftly past

lf that light within you is darkness Jesus asked; how dark is that light Have you prayerfully filled your lamps with oil So that you may be ready if Christ came tonight R:#12

Bearing My Own Cross

Now my own cross I am called to bear And I will take it with me everywhere To demonstrate to others of Gods love By sending to us His Son from above

To bear a cross of His very own Then suffer and die on it all alone Not because He was guilty of any wrong But for the sins that others had done

Others like me who lived life their way Never heeding Gods word and never pray Going to and fro thinking only of self Not considering the needs of anyone else

Until one day Jesus revealed Himself to me I asked Him to cleanse me and set me free And without hesitation He came into my life

He cleansed it from all of its sins and strife

Then He revealed to me my Salvations cost How He came into this world to die upon a cross That I may receive forgiveness for all I had done While living my life in denial of Gods only Son

But now that I believe I will bear my own cross By denying self by shearing Christ to the lost Pointing them to Calvary, toward the cleansing flow As onward on my journey through this life I go R:#13

Believe in God

Believe in God He’ll see you through All the things you should say and do Trust in Him for life anew Believe in God He believes in you

O child of God trust Him today If some fiery trial has come your way Just believe, be faithful and pray And everything will soon be okay

So tarry on child, be bold; be strong He’s returning soon it won’t be long We in a twinkling of an eye will be gone Rejoice, take comfort in a joyful song

Meditate each day upon His word Think upon the truths you have heard Wear your Salvation armor be on guard

Chose the scriptures which are preferred

Call on Him any time or any where Just call on Jesus, He’ll be there Look to Him in fervent prayer And He will show you He really cares R:#14

Believe in Jesus

Believe in Jesus and you will be saved Believe that He has risen from the grave Believe He has died to pay redemptions price Believe that He really is the Lord Jesus Christ

Believe God loves us each and everyone Believe He sent into this world His only Son Believe we are part of Gods Salvation plan Believe that Jesus Christ was His sacrificial Lamb

Believe that God considered what we are worth Believe He chose a virgin to give His child birth Believe Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Ghost Believe she nine months later held her baby close

Believe that this was and is the Son of Man Believe He had the power to take up His life again Believe He came to save all of us who are lost

Believe we are the reason He died upon the Cross

Believe that He is able to save your soul today Believe He will never turn one lost soul away Believe He is coming back and will soon descend Believe in Jesus Christ and you’ll be born again R:#15

Believe the Prophets

You won’t have to worry if you believe the story Written by the prophets a long time ago And a new life you’ll be given and you’ll go to Heaven If you would only believe the story they have told

You won’t need to worry about your children who will harm them They will safely be playing on streets of pure gold And when it comes to the rent you’ll never pay a cent The whole universe will be yours to eternally behold

There will be no more sneezing, no sickness or freezing No more concerns about heat waves, rainstorms or snow For the stars, moon and sun will then all be gone And we’ll forever be sheltered from the heat and the cold

So is it not grand when we all take our stand Square our shoulders like solders and be bold Marching each day by faith in victory

Until our Savior one day we will behold

As we wait our departure, caught up in the rapture We’ll not be concerned who’s the first ones to go But this rather we’ll all go together To walk with Jesus on streets of pure gold

So let’s all together and forget about the weather Make the best of it now while living here below Put a smile on your face do your best to run the race And allow Jesus to set your whole life aglow

Let Him have His way and you’ll feel freer each day To do His will as you learn and you spiritually grow And as you receive from Him in whom you believe You will be filled with much joy until you overflow R:#16

Billy’s Salvation

Billy was just a little lad Always doing something bad This would make his father mad And his dear mother ever so sad

He would get punished for his wrong It would hurt but not for long And then when his pain was all gone He’d do again that which he before had done

But then he went to Sunday school Where he was taught Gods golden rule And realized he was being a little fool By allowing Satan to use him as his tool

He then asked Jesus into his heart And to give to him a brand-new start And to fulfill His promise and never depart

To fill with light which now was dark

Now he is so very happy every day Reads his Bible and always pray His parents, he will faithfully obey And from all temptations turn away

Such a change has come over him Since that he has been born again And asked Jesus Christ to come in Who cleansed his life from all his sin

You too can be saved today Jesus will turn no one away All you have to do is to pray He hears all you have to say R:#17

Call to Repentance

This is the day you are called to repentance This is the day of salvation for you So come now into the Lords Holy repentance Jesus is waiting He is longing for you

If you are looking for some satisfaction Something to fill that void within And all of the things in life you’re trying Seems to be leading you deeper in sin

Do you feel you are caught up in bondage Some kind of force you cannot control Then you need Jesus, you need salvation You need His blood to cleanse your soul

If you are going through some tribulation If some fiery trial is pulling you down And you have been seeking for some direction

Of how you may turn this whole mess around

Than look friend no longer there is a redeemer He’ll deliver you out of your guilt and sin If you do your part come and accept Him He’ll become your Saviour and you’ll be born again R:#18

Children Rejoice

Children here on earth rejoice In your Saviour Jesus Christ He is soon coming as He said Lift up your voices and be glad

In a shout of glory He will come When the Fathers will here is done Then will we hear the trumpet sound And we will be raptured from the ground

To go and live with Him forever more And dwell beside that golden shore In that great city made of gold Eternally living and never grow old

There we will see such a glorious sight Where God the Father is the light And no more need for the sun to shine

For there it will be daylight all the time

And those things we now consider odd We will understand in the kingdom of God As we forever search out those mysteries While we eternally live and give God praise

But as we here now on earth remain Let us glorify Jesus our Saviors name And let our voices be clear and loud While we await His soon appearing cloud R:#19

Come to Jesus

Just come unto Me all of you who labor All of you heavy laden, come to Me and rest Bring all your burdens; lay them down before Me Enter now into the joy of My Spiritual rest

If you are going through some fiery trial Which seems to have made your life a mess You search and seek but find no answer Just come now unto Me and I will give you rest

Is there past wounds which are still opened And takes away at times your happiness You know that I’m your healer, if you can believe Than come unto Me and I will give you rest

If you have some secrete sin, which you try to hide within You need now to repent of it, come now and confess And when I your Saviour touches you I your spirit will renew

So come now unto Me and I will give you rest

Are you burdened with some financial needs Bring unto Me now all of your requests I will give you all your hearts desires Trust in Me and I will give you rest R:#20

Confession before Salvation

They say that confession is good for the soul It seems to give ones life an inner glow Just to it they did something wrong Seems to put on their heart a new song

It somehow seems to lighten the heavy load Which have grown from some seed they’ve sowed That has followed them down through the years Causing them much grief, many sorrows and fears

But when they come to the place where they say I realize I can’t go on living my life this way That they search for the answers of what to do Lord, then they need someone to lead them to You

For it is then they are ready to make a new start Only then will they be ready for a change of heart Only then will they be willing to change their behavior

And accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour

If you are someone who is feeling like this You have come to a place where your life is a mess Then take it to Jesus for He’s always there And repeat to Him this humble little prayer

Lord I have come to confess my sins to You Lord I have come for You, my life to renew Lord I have come to repent of all of my sin Lord I have come that I may be born again #21

Confession

I confess I’m a sinner I repent of all my sins I open my hearts door Please Lord Jesus come in

In the midst of my struggles I look in the mirror and see A week, sad, lonely person Steering straight back at me

I can feel what he’s feeling So deep, deep down inside But can’t seem to break away From this self righteous pride

Then something within me Cries out to the God up above And I sense a release of freedom

A peace and unconditional love

Then I let loose of my emotions I fall to my knees in prayer And I call upon Jesus name Saying I believe you can hear

Yes I’ve been a drinker Of wine, liquors and beer And I’ve been a drug Living immorally year after year

But I know it was all wrong Won’t you please understand I was following the crowd Trying to prove that I was a man

Now I can see my mistakes I’m at the end of my rope And I know I need something And I feel you’re my last hope

So here is all my sins Lord I give them all over to you Thy will for my life Lord I now release it all too

My life’s in your hands now I feel such freedom inside And with each shout of o glory I know I’m losing my pride R:#22

Contentment

Lord let me now contented be With the lot You have given me Whether it be of sorrow or of pain Let me be humble and not complain

But whatever You give me to do Please be with me, see me through And give unto me what I need the most The infilling power of the Holy Ghost

For I realize I can do so little myself I will always need that someone else That someone is You Lord to intercede And give the Spiritual strength I need

Because we battle with foes unseen Who are ruthless, devilish and mean With a desire to kill, destroy and blind

As they attack Your people in their mind

But grant me wisdom that I may see What these demons are doing now to me That I by faith may overcome them And live this life with no need to sin R:#23

Convection

Conviction is a feeling, which a person will feel Before making a decision if they’ll go to Heaven or hell This conviction is caused by the person within Whom God put there to convict them of sin

That is why a person feels guilty when they tell a lie It is also the reason people are afraid to die The fear of dying is the thing they most dread Not knowing where they’ll go once they are dead

They realize their body will just rot away But the big fear is their soul living eternally Not prepared for Heaven where will they really go Is there a real Devil and a literal hell below

This conscience is the spiritual inner man Put within everyone to help them understand To let them know if they do right or wrong

But after life has ended this spirit still lives on

Each soul belongs to God and they go back to Him Then He will decide what will become of them And going by His word it is very easy to tell If they die without repentance they will surely go to Hell R:#24

Could this be the Christ

Could this be the Christ who was to come Could this be the chosen, Gods only Son Could this be the One who came for the lost Could this be the Christ, the Christ of the cross

As many people gathered around to hear His word They could not believe in all the things they heard He was so unlike their teachers so they did not agree Even though He spoke the truth with such authority

Most would mock and ridicule at the things He said But He just went on teaching without getting mad Because He had so many more important things to do To prepare the hearts of man to receive life anew

A life unlike the earthly one that they now possessed But an eternal heavenly one where they could forever rest And now and then there would be someone who agreed

As their hearts were opened and they saw their inner need

Among them were the poor, the sick, blind and the lame Who joyfully received His words and believed upon His name And there was the woman at the well whose life was full of sin Gladly heard and received His word and then was born again

Born again to die no more to The Fathers perfect will Spiritually born to eternally live instead of going to hell By accepting freely Salvation because now we have a choice Through the blood of Jesus, Jesus who’s called the Christ R:#25

Decisions

There are many things that I don’t understand About the lot in life which God has given me But I know I’ll soon be crossing over Jordan And enter into the land of my eternity

It is ever so often on my life’s journey I come to a place with a fork in the road Where in confusion I stop and hesitate And lay down to rest my burdensome load

The load of caring my cross and denying self As I go onward living my life for Him Denying myself the many pleasures of life While I strive to live my life without sin

It is ever so often in these times of confusion That I feel like leaving my cross far behind And go on the road leading the other direction

But I know that it is the way of the blind

So I rest for a while and resist the temptations Which Satan’s demons keep sending my way And I prayerfully seek Gods will and direction And refuse to hear what Satan has to say

Because I know that in just a little while The trumpet will sound and I will be gone To carry no more the cross that I now bear But will be united forever with the Father and Son R:#26

Deliverance from Deception

Lord I ask You to hear this prayer of mine As I bring this request to You one more time It’s concerning Your people who in these days In disobedience live in their own ways

Lord I wish there was something I could do To help them return and come back to You But You know I have never been to Bible school So my words would be taken has that of a fool

Lord we live in such an ungodly time again If you’re not educated you don’t know anything As was the time Jesus when You lived here below Certain church leaders are now in full control

They teach to Your people doctrines of man Who when they hear the truth don’t understand They go to their leaders for sight to receive

Only to come away more blinded and deceived

It’s the same now Lord as in Your day So I ask You to teach me how to pray I ask You now to Gethsemane And allow this spirit to pray through me R:#27

Direction by Faith

Many parents today they don’t know what to do To instruct their children to be honest and true There are so many bad influences to turn them away From the things we try to instruct them in each day

The mother says to her boy I know you are my son So you don’t ever need to wonder where you came from Don’t listen to doctrines of devils they’ll bring you down Put your trust in Gods word, you’ll find it to be sound

Don’t run wildly after women, He’ll give you a good wife One who will stay with you for the rest of your life Hear now my instruction son take hold to my advice Always consider your ways and put your faith in Christ

A father takes his daughter for a walk in the park Where he shares with her the concerns on his heart Honey you are growing into a woman as beautiful as can be

You must get it from your mom it sure can’t come from me

So you know I am concerned in all the things you do I love you and have a lot of faith and trust in you But I would like you to trust God, walk in His ways And you’ll find Him there beside you all of your days

Honey don’t ever turn from Him for the love of man He has someone chosen for you, who is part of His plan He will give you someone who you will cherish and love So don’t be too hasty to turn from your Saviour above

Now to all of you children who are running astray You know the end of your road will bring you poverty So why not consider your ways, put your trust in God It doesn’t matter who thinks that your Salvation is odd

If you want to be different than there’s no better way Than to humble yourself and just kneel down and pray You will be one of the few in the time we are given Who have prepared their lives and will make it into Heaven

So if you would confess and repent of all your sin And ask Jesus Christ if He would now come in Tell Him you are sorry and that you now believe A full pardon, forgiveness and Salvation you will receive

Now you parents of rebellious children take heart It’s not too late for your child to make a new start Just pray, believe and have faith in Jesus Christ And one day your child will make Him their choice

Care not for tomorrow or the babblings of someone else Seek you first Gods kingdom this will take care of its self There is no greater thing you can do for Him than this Live your life on earth before Him and walk in Holiness

Shine His light before your children everywhere each day Prove to them His goodness and teach them how to pray And when they come of age to have children of their own That they too may teach their children to trust in Him alone R:#28

Draw me Nearer

Draw me nearer to Your throne Draw me nearer to Your throne For I am Yours and Yours alone You have bought me with a price I am no longer my own So draw me nearer, draw me nearer to Your throne

Draw me nearer to Yourself O Lord Draw me nearer to Yourself O Lord Let my heart be like unto Yours Let us be in one accord That I may live to please the God in whom I adore Draw me nearer to Yourself O Lord

Draw now nearer Lord unto me Draw now nearer Lord unto me Bring into my life now I pray Faith, joy, hope and charity

Easier to Point the Finger

It is easier to point the finger And put your brother to shame Yes it’s easier to point the finger Than to face your guilt and shame

People who get caught up in religion Somehow think they are living right Have become so blinded their own selves They don’t know they have lost their sight

They have become such busy bodies They have created a full time job Going around judging everyone else Thus transgressing the word of God They point their finger at the preacher The brother and sister in the church And they are good with those punch lines Which seems to get you where it hurts

They discredit everything that’s done They can’t see how it is going to work So like an old broody hen, they chuckle And soon began to scratch and flirt

They root up this; they root up that Trying to see what they could find They work so hard trying to find fault Sometimes they almost lose their mind

So I tell you now, from experience It is far better for others and yourself If you would spend more time in prayer Than finding fault or judging someone else

Yes it is easier to point the finger And inflect on somebody else your pain So if you are someone with this problem Repent and be delivered in Jesus name R:#30

Earthly Gains, Eternal Loss

What have you gained in this world below If you gain the whole world and lose your soul It means you gained nothing but instead have lost And your soul will now be the eternal cost

Just what is the good of the riches you gain If you die without Jesus it don’t mean any thing All your possessions will be left to give or to sell But your soul in agony will be taken to Hell

You say you are happy living your life in sin And you don’t see the need to be born again You say you can’t see how Jesus who lived long ago Has anything to do with the decision of your soul

So you keep working harder to gain more for your self And you can’t see the needs of anyone else You think all this wealth will bring joy and peace

While inside you know you have already deceased

Now as you try to live happily in your life of fear Find some poor happy person and learn how to care And you will find that giving is what gives peace within Then God with mercy may allow you to become born again R:#31

Enjoying God’s Space

Man today have gone ever so far Into the depths of the outer space Spend trillions seeking other life forms But have yet to find even a trace

Many complain and wonder why such waste Spending money on such a foolish thing Even though I know they will find no life I agree with the work this idea did bring

It also enlightens me on how vast it is That great universe that my Father made When He spoke it all into its existence Just as He commanded that’s how it stayed

Now because of some ones foolish ideas That drove them to search out outer space I can sit here enjoying beautiful pictures

Meditating on its Creator with a smiling face

Because, it gives me a better understanding Of who God really is and what He can do And I’m sure if I have some little problem That He knows exactly how to see me through

But what amazes me is after seeing all this The world goes on doing things that’s so odd Yet they cannot bring themselves to believe That this was all created by an Almighty God R:#32

Expressions of Love

Expressions of caring, expressions of love Expressions of mercy God has sent from above Expressions of giving, expressions of receiving Expressions of eternal life to comfort the grieving

God sent Jesus His only begotten Son Into this world on a cross to be hung Though at His birth none could believe That such a cruel death He would receive

The dear little child, oh what a Lamb Could He really be Gods promise to man Will He be the leader of Gods people one day The promised Messiah as the prophets did say

Would come into the world by virgin birth Bringing peace and goodwill to the earth Did not the shepherds hear an angels voice

From out of Heaven saying, this is the Christ

Why did king Herod when he heard the news Call on the wise men looking for clues Off when He was born and where He might stay And to let him know when they came his way

After being mocked by the wise men why did he feel Such a raging desire for the baby Jesus to kill That he took all Hebrew children under age of two Away from their families and each one of them slew

He must have known but did not understand That nobody could stop what God had planned Because Jesus grew up and became our Sacrifice Which is the reason we celebrate the birth of Christ R:#33

Fork of Decision

As I was traveling upon life’s journey I came upon a fork that was in the road So I decided to stop and rest awhile And take a break from my heavy load

And as I rested I considered the roads One was narrow and the other big and wide On the narrow walked the humbly poor While on the other walked the wealthy in pride

And as I was trying to figure what it meant There appeared unto me a strange looking man He said I noticed you were somewhat confused So I have come here to help you to understand

You notice the narrow road, how it appears You can see how it is all paved with love Well on this road walk the children of God

And it leads them all up to His heaven above

But on the big and wide road there appears to be All of the things that could give ones life a thrill It seems to have most all of the wealthiest people But it is that deceptive highway that leads to hell

Here he said is where you make your decision Which road will you take, which way will you go Will you swallow your pride and go up with God’s people Or maintain your pride and go down with Satan’s below R:#34

Fulfilling Gods Word

We live in a day when prophecy is being fulfilled As daily the truths of Gods word is revealed And because so many have deceitfully blinded themselves By relying on books and hearsays of somebody else

God’s word they very seldom read if they do at all That’s why they’re not ready when Satan comes to call They are not prepared for battle, not knowing the word All they have to help them is something else they heard

They believed it to be true and did not question it Now to late they realize have something to regret They never took the time to pray or seek the Lord Waiting there upon Him in prayer only made them bored

But now they wished they took the time to wait longer Because if they had lingered there they would be stronger Now as the battle rages and trials have come their way

They wander then from Jesus seeing no reason to stay

Confused because they did not know now, what to do And had not the strength themselves to make it through If they would have only read the Bible a little more Things would be different then this for them I’m sure

For if they had known the word their armor would be on And if they had known how to pray they’d victoriously won But now with hope all gone defeated by demoniac foes What will become of them now I guess only God knows

So if you are someone relying on some other advice Exchange your books for the true gospel of Jesus Christ Study Gods word today, seek Him and learn how to pray That you may be readily armed if trials come your way R:#35

Give it to Jesus

Are you down and depressed within From carrying a load of guilt and sin No peace of mind anywhere can be found Than come and lay your burdens down

Are you tired of carrying your heavy load Which keeps dragging you down on life’s road Just give it to Jesus, leave it with Him And accept His free offer to be born again

The load that you carry now in this life Is probably filled with turmoil and strife But you can exchange it with Him I’m sure For eternal life to be lived forevermore

He will also take all your guilt and shame He will give you health for all of your pain So just bring whatever is tearing you apart

And give it to Jesus for a brand new heart

And as you unload all of your heaviness At last you will find peace and happiness You will have joy deep down in your soul For with Jesus within your life’s all aglow R:#36

Go Ahead, Curse God

Go ahead and curse His name But one day soon things will change Because He will be coming back again And in His sight you will be strange

Then will you call out to Him But He will not hear your desire All He will see is a life of sin And order you cast into the lake of fire

Go ahead now and have your fun But soon will be that glorious day When time on earth will be all done And the church will all be caught away

Then what will you do when they’re gone And all of your mocking was all in vain And you stand there before Gods throne

Knowing that you are not born again

Go ahead and laugh at those who believe But you just wait and one day you will see That an eternal hell you will receive And these will live throughout eternity

Then will the saints with Him arise And destroy all of those who are ashamed Who are now unrighteous in His eyes And dear to mock and curse His name R:#37

Go on, You’re not Alone

There was a day on earth when Noah was praying Pleading to God for sins that around him was done And he could no longer see a need for his preaching God reassured him that he was not there in it alone

So after Noah went and built an ark as God told him The rains came and for many days he did not see the sun He knew he was not traveling on the waves by himself For he could sense God was watching him from His throne

He was saying I know you’re going to make it Noah Even though your journey on the waters will be long Do not let fear and doubt come in to overtake you I am always with you; you are not alone

When Moses saw the burning bush he was very amazed To see the bush was burning but was not consumed away Then when God spoke to Moses saying you have I chosen

He said I cannot speak well send someone else Lord I pray

Then God said your brother Aaron he is now coming He will be your spokesman for he has a good voice But you will be the one to lead my people forward Because you are the one I made to be My choice

And do not say to Me you cannot do this Moses For you know I have not left you to do it alone So I will never leave or forsake you Just do as I say Moses, take Aaron and go on

Then in the wilderness God’s people were complaining Because they had no water to drink or any food to eat Than Moses got angry and asked God for His direction Of how he was to take care of this flock of His sheep

Lord surely You can hear all the things they are saying How they wish now that they were still living in sin In the land of bondage from which they’d been delivered The place where he was sent that he might rescue them

Then God in His wrath and furry was about to destroy them But Moses reminded God that this thing would be wrong So that after God fed His people with bread from heaven I will not leave or forsake you so just go on Moses go on

Today there are many Christians hopelessly bewildered Because of so many problems lately on churches did fall So they have become frustrated, untrusting and confused Have decided to stay home and be part of nothing at all

Some blame church leaders, like evangelists and pastors For leading astray all of those poor innocent sheep Who discovered they themselves were still living in sin Because their leaders themselves did not a Godly life keep

And now as they wonder what would God say to them If He was to drop by and see them all just struggle along I believe He would say keep looking upward and go forward I will not forsake or leave you alone so go on My child, go on R:#38

God is Still Calling

God keeps on calling over and over again Mercifully, patiently He keeps calling to them Come in from the fields that are so stained by sin Why linger my child, won’t you now come in

Why follow after preachers who preaches of wealth Bodily exercise and dieting to give you health God’s word warns us to care not for these things But instead set your hearts toward Spiritual things

Consider the things, which will bring Him praise Come out from false teachings and walk in His ways Turn away from false tongues, which does nothing for you This is called chanting, which God warns us not to do

Tongues is a language given to us by God It should not sound alien, just foreign, not odd If this new found spirit has control over you

Then it’s not of God, you need to pray through

God does not force you; He leads you along He puts joy in your heart; He gives you a song He leads not to confusion, He gives a sound mind So come while He is calling, come while there is time R:#39

God Keeps Calling

Over and over and yet over again God gently, earnestly keeps calling to them Though they have wandered though they have sinned Yet He calls to them over and over again

He is such a wonderful God whom we serve Yet we repay Him in ways He doesn’t deserve I wonder at times where we get all the nerve To forfeit all the blessings that for us He’s reserved

He is not like other gods; He won’t force us to do Things we don’t feel that is necessary for us too And He never changes or tries something new The way He has chosen is the best way for you

He’s not the kind of God who will push and shove He patiently helps you your problems to solve He’s not a God of the earth He came from above

He is not a God of hate; He is a God of love

He is a God who hears, sees and understands He holds the whole well being of the world in His hands He knows all about our concerns and demands And considers only that we would be His friends R:#40

God of the Living

Many times in life we will hear people say I’m so tired of living, God take my life away But they don’t understand that Jesus said He is the God of the living, not of the dead

He is the God of the living, the upright in heart He is a builder of lives, He don’t tear them apart He is a refiners fire who will bring out the best And make something beautiful of what seems a mess

He is the God of love who enters ones life And takes away whatever causes them strife He blesses them with a loving spirit of holiness That they may live a life of true happiness

He puts a song upon the heart of each of them That they may sing praises, giving honor unto Him Beginning in the morning until they go to bed

Rejoicing in the first to be risen from the dead

So if in this life you wish you would just die Consider what you have to lose, and ask why Is there not another way to defeat unhappiness Yes, just come to Jesus and He will give you rest R:#41

Gods Battle

We must the battle belongs to the Lord He will fight our enemies with His two-edged sword We should wear our Spiritual armor every day Be filled with Gods word and take time to pray

To many times as Christians we make the mistake And try to do battle with demons for Jesus sake Not realizing we can do little against their kind When we are not prepared but are spiritually blind

How can a man of mortal flesh battle those Who they cannot see for they are invisible foes Unless we know how to put the Spiritual armor on Satan knows already that he has that battle won

If you are someone who is fighting every day Why don’t you relax and take the time to pray Get to know the one who is faithful and true

Then you will come to realize He will fight for you

Because He has paid for you such an high price He will keep you safe when you make Him your choice Read His word, pray and put your trust in Him Give your battles to the Lord and you are sure to win R:#42

God’s Mysteries and Realities

As I consider life here upon our earthly sod I can’t help but think upon the wonders of God Of who many people does not believe exists But how could one deny it with proof like this

For as I walk upon a trail, beneath me I see So many forms of life much smaller than me Smaller but mightier in so many ways And then I can see the Ancient of days

And then as I raise my eyes and look above I can see so much more beauty of His love As I watch innocent little birds having fun Building their nests and singing a song

Then I feel a soft and very gentle breeze And hear it go rustling through the trees As I consider the shadows of clouds ing by

Creating fluffy white designs beneath the blue sky

And as evening sets in and finally night I behold the wonder of stars shining so bright As I wonder what they might be all about While I realize there is no way of searching it out

And there are so many more things there we can’t yet see The more we discover the greater is the mystery Mysteries that will never here by man be known Because God has reserved these for His purpose alone R:#43

Gods Plea

Can’t you hear Me calling you My people Calling you from a live of selfishness Apart from the world and all its desires Into My joy of peace and rest

So many times I have sent to you Preachers and teachers who in My name Have tried to help you understand Just what it means to be born again

But still you go on in your own ways Still walking as blind you cannot see Nor do you hear My voice pleading Come back My people come back to Me

O how I long to hear you worship Me In Spirit and truth from your heart So come away from your worldly desires

Confess and repent and have a new start

How much longer will I suffer you How much more rejection will I take Before I decide to call to you no longer And reject you for My own names sake R:#44

Gods Promise

What’s this I hear from voices so warm A Holy boy child in a manger was born Just follow the star in the east and you’ll see He whom God has chosen to set His people free

The three wise men dismayed and somewhat confused About hearing from angels of such good news Decided to take this journey across deserts so far And followed this wonder, a bright moving star

Right to an old barn on the outskirts of town There in a manger this little baby was found The mother a virgin who none would have believed Excitedly the gifts from these wise men received

As the glory of God now filled the whole place And a Heavenly glow shone upon the babes face Surely this must be Gods promise to all mankind

Whom He has been promising for such a long time

Has finally arrived in such a strange way It’s hard to believe even to this very day But the Spirit of God just as it did then To those who believe will reveal it to them

But there was one more promise to come After Jesus back into Heaven had gone The promise of the Holy Ghost to ascend Who would teach Gods truth to all men

Bearing witness that the gospel is true That Jesus came to give us all life anew Unto all of those who would follow Him Who will die to self and be born again R:#45

Have I Cast You Off

Have I cast You off my loving Lord You in whom my life and soul adored Why is it that I can’t seem to get through And have that sweet communion with You

The way it was just a short time ago When my heart and life was all aglow And Your Holy presences I could not hide You were ever with me, always at my side

But all of a sudden I found You were gone And I’m still wondering what I did wrong Something must have caused You to leave Did I cause Your Holy Spirit to grieve

Tell me Father what it is I have done To have lost my fellowship with Your Son How can I repent and confess of this

If I do not know what caused the mess

Lord I believe that I have done my part I’ve come to You and have shared my heart And I confess that I do not know what to do Only to leave it here and trust in You

So now Lord as I come before You tonight If there is something wrong, make it right Let me know if I have some secret sin That I may confess and have peace within R:#46

He Loves You Still

Do not be discouraged or dismayed If you have fallen and committed a sin If you are sorry and come in repentance He will wash and cleanse you again

If you are overwhelmed of this thing And afraid of what others think or say Even though it is shameful and painful You will find forgiveness if you only pray

Just accept Gods forgiveness and acceptance No matter what others may think, say or do What matters most is your walk with God And what you mean to Him and Him to you

Reach out to Him and give Him your life Ask Him again to come into your heart To receive you just the way that you are

And to give to you a brand-new start

Believe that He loves you just as before And your Salvation is His purpose and will So reach out to Him believe and receive For though you have sinned, He loves you still

Though you may have wandered And gone against His will He is willing to forgive you Because He loves you still R:#47

He’ll Come Back

It’s been about two thousand years Since Jesus died for the sins of man Defeating Satan and conquering hell Arose and went back to Heaven again

Since that time there has been somebody Proclaiming Salvation through His blood And He is the only way that a man Can ever enter into the kingdom of God

Many mock and laugh these to scorn And just go on living their lives in sin But some believe, confess, repent, receive And through His blood are born again

Millions since have lived and died For their belief in Jesus Christ Because of the witness they had within

Who were willing to pay the price

For many years it has been repeated That Jesus Christ will soon come again And I too believe that it’s still true Because Gods word has made it plain

He’ll come back again just as He said When the time appointed by the Father As come to call and raise the dead He’ll come back again just as He said R:#48

He’s Always Been There

Lord I know You have been with me Down through these many years You brought me through temptations And You took away all of my fears

You took away all of my darkness And You replaced it with Your light You healed my poor blinded eyes And You gave to me new sight

You cleansed the filth from my lips And placed within my mouth a song It seems now I’m always rejoicing And praising You all the day long

Lord I want to thank You now For hearing each prayer I prayed And thank You for fulfilling

Every promise You have made

I thank You for Your Salvation And for giving me this life anew Thanks for faithfully being with me And thanks for seeing me through R:#49

He’s Always There

Lord You are always there for me Always ready to lend a helping hand You’re always there to guide me through All the things I do not understand

For many years I have tried my best To follow You the only way I know how As in the past You were there for me I believe You are there for me now

Whenever I have some kind of problem I know there is nothing You cannot solve I trust You will be always there for me Because You are the comionate God of love

Even though I’m not always as obedient As I could be and I know that I should You are always patient and forgiving

And understanding as only a Father could

So I thank You Father for giving me life I thank You for the sacrifice of Your Son I thank You Lord Jesus for coming to save me I believe You will finish in me what You have begun R:#50

He’s Still There

What can one do when they need a friend When they feel weak and cast down within But don’t have the strength to reach out for help Because their self confidence has taken a belt

Hiding in a flesh shell from the grief and shame Doing their best to smile through all the pain Most people may think they are full of pride They don’t see all the turmoil they suffer inside

The heartaches, the stress from being let down Yet through it all, their faith seems to be sound Still they go to God and put their trust in Him Even when He tries them and do not answer them

Then Satan sees his chance, and he will come Along with all his demons to have some devilish fun They will do most anything to try and break their will

For they are so determined to drag that soul to hell

Even though they get no answer, God is always there And He always listens and hears their every prayer And when the battle is over they will know there is a God Because they’ll feel the demons running from His chastening rod R:#51

His Outstretched Hands

His hands are stretched out still With undying love He welcomes you now That He may save your soul from hell Yes His hands are stretched out still

I search but cannot understand it What did Jesus our Saviour see When He stretched forth His hands To save a wretched soul like me

I look back over all of my past And search it out the best I can But I cannot find a single thing That in my past I’ve done for Him

Yes I once went to Sunday school But so many times I felt ashamed Because I had no choice but go

So I began to curse Gods name

I guess there was something missing It was the thing that I needed most Which was the power of Gods love Being demonstrated by the Holy Ghost

But since then I have met Jesus Who has reviled to me the way That I can enjoy His love for me Through His Holy Spirit each day

Now I realize that when I was lost His hands were stretched out still He died for me and paid the cost To redeem my lost soul from hell

So if you’re someone who’s searching For answers to things of your past Just leave those things with Jesus And come into His place of rest

For His hands are stretched out still With undying love He welcomes you now That He may save your soul from hell Yes His hands are stretched out still R:#52

Hold on to me Lord

Hold on to me Lord, don’t let me fall Hear me now Lord as on You I call You brought me this far; don’t let me go Have mercy on me now; consider my soul

I have been wounded in battle, so sore I feel like I’m fallen to rise up no more The enemy is coming close I can hear I’d like to hide but I can’t go anywhere

So Lord as I lay here in my aching pain I wonder if I will ever do battle again I have fought a good fight and it’s too bad To suffer such loss after giving all I had

Then my prayer was answered, surprisingly It was not at all as I expected it would be There was this inner voice so loud and clear

Saying what are you doing just laying there

There is no time for self pity, get up and go The battle is raging for every mans soul And while you linger resting, there is loss So get up and go onward bearing your cross

The enemy is gaining because you took time To come to Me to complain and to whine Instead of, asking Me your strength to renew So that you could do what I asked of you

So get up now child and go on your way For you have much ground to cover today You must now recover what you have lost And keep pressing forward no matter the cost

Those wounds I know may slow you down But don’t turn and run just stand your ground Keep your eye on the battle when you’re in prayer And call on Me for help and I will be there

To help and strengthen you as you have need You don’t have to complain, bag or plead Just come believing when upon Me you call Because if you trust in Me you can never fall R:#53

How Dear You, Jesus

How dear You do such a thing as this Surely with a demon You are possessed You blaspheme God in the things You teach And who gave You the authority to preach

You have committed a sin against the law On six days You should labor, that is all In these six days You can have Your say But don’t do these things on the Sabbath day

You have been heard telling the dumb to talk And have also been encouraging the lame to walk You have told the blind to open their eyes to see To these things our law forbiddeth and disagree

And if this blasphemy was not enough for You What have You been asking the deaf folk to do How dear You on the Holy day go and do Your work

Going about comforting those who think they hurt

How dear You Jesus commit such a sinful crime By our standards You are as unclean as a swine You are worthy of death, and that of a cross Because of Your works You must pay the cost

This is the decree to the reason You must die You have broken the Sabbath and told us a lie You proclaimed to be Gods only begotten Son A penalty of death for blaspheming the Holy One R:#54

How do I? How can He?

How do I do for Jesus all those things He’d like me too How do I prove to others He has given me life anew How can I demonstrate His love each day all day through How do I do for Jesus all those things He’d like me too

How can I love the Lord my God with all of my heart And love all of my neighbors as much as I do myself How can I lay down my life and carry my own cross And each day live my life as if for somebody else

How can I understand His word if I read it every day Don’t I need His Holy Spirit to reveal it all to me Would it really make a difference if I were to pray Would my eyes be opened that I could more clearly see

Does it really matter to God if I say I can’t I don’t have time; I already have another plan Will He only smile and say just go your way

Or will He question saying; I don’t understand

How do you expect me to save your soul When you reject to do the things I ask of you How could I say well done my faithful servant When really I’m someone whom you never knew R:#55

Humble Yourselves

As they were bringing little children to Jesus one day His disciples misunderstanding Him started turning them away But Jesus rebuking them said bring them all unto me And He took the little children and put them on His knee

Then He began to bless them; put His hand upon their head Looking on the people these words to them He said This which I speak unto you may sound kind of odd Lest you become as children you’ll enter not the kingdom of God

For like unto these children is the kingdom of Heaven Unto those who humble themselves like these is the kingdom given And if anyone should harm one of them; it is better for he If a stone were tied to his neck and he was cast into the sea

Jesus loves the little children especially when their having fun He don’t care about their color He loves them everyone He don’t like it when they hurt it somehow hurts Him too

He wants to take and heal them so they can feel like new

But He cannot heal us and show us that He cares Unless we are humble and come to Him in prayer Jesus really loves us and wants us all to obey And if we put our trust in Him everything will be okay R:#56

I am Saved

When I asked Jesus to wash my sins away It seemed my life turned from night to day He opened my eyes and gave me new sight Where I once saw darkness I now see light

When I go back at times and my past I’m sure glad those memories for long do not last But just for a few moments so that I can tell The times when Jesus saved me from going to hell

He watched over my past when I was not in control To bring me to a decision of who would have my soul It meant nothing to Satan but meant plenty to God Enough to come to this world and give His blood

Satan just wanted to destroy so God would not gain So Jesus came and died and bore all the pain For our sins He died on Calvary’s cross that day

Thank God I’m a witness for mine has been washed away

I now feel clean, there’s a new light shining within I feel like I’m new, as if I have been born again I thank you Jesus for doing simply what I asked You saved me from sin and the guilt of my past R:#57

I Am With You Always

I see your struggles and I see your pain And I hear you each time you call My name I see you each time you kneel down in prayer And though you don’t know it I am always there

I will be with you in sorrow if on Me you call And in times of trouble I’ll be with you in all For just as in My word I promised I would do I will be there because I will always love you

I will love you in sickness; I will love you in health I will love you if poor, I will love you with wealth I will love you though the heavens will all away And when the earth is no more My love won’t decay

You will be with Me in Heaven after time is no more You will walk with Me on Heavens beautiful shore And where ever I go you will be right there with Me

Searching out Gods mysteries throughout eternity

We will walk together along streets of pure gold As the beauty of Gods wondrous works do behold And I will be proud to have you there at My side Where forever more with Me you will surely abide

So take comfort My child in these things I now say Daily read My Holy word and take the time to pray Then will I send you that which you need the most I will send to you the comfort of My Holy Ghost

Just ask and receive, seek and then you shall find Knock and the door will open to this will of Mine And My will is that My Fathers will, will be done Which is that you who are saved give honor to His Son

So right here on earth you must for a while remain But do not reframe from giving glory to My name Because in time your hardships will all be Then I will be there to take you to a Heavenly rest

I Can’t Make It On My Own

I can’t make it on my own I would surely lose my way I can’t live it by myself Jesus Christ must live through me

For in me there is no good thing I am as a man who is undone By myself I would be so unstable I’d be like a criminal on the run

But thank God I now can see And by faith I can walk with Him When tribulations bring me down I have the strength to stand again

I know that Satan has lost his power When on the cross Jesus died And destroyed the power of death and hell

The day that He was crucified

So I myself have done nothing Jesus did it all for you and me When He said Father I will go And die for man upon a tree

The only thing I had to do Was say yes Lord, I now believe I confess and repent of all my sin And open my heart now to receive

Now my life I give to you complete To use it for your own will For a witness of Your mercy To save some lost souls from hell R:#59

I Confess and Repent

I will confess to God, I am a sinner I repent of all past sins I have done I accept Your free gift of Salvation I accept as my Saviour Jesus Your Son

I like so many lived my life so carelessly Not considering who I hurt along my way I lived for self so nothing else mattered Not caring what others might think or say

I did not know I was controlled by Satan And blindly was following His every move I was being used to do evil deeds for him While others wondered what I tried to prove

I like so many other people who are living A life of fantasies they want to come true Did everything that was in my own power

To make sure my plans would come through

But then like so many I in my poverty Searched for the true meaning of life I found the answer when I found Jesus Who saved my soul from this world’s strife

So if you are like me in need of someone When all else have failed for you below Than get a hold on Heaven, call upon Jesus He will reach down here and save your soul R:#60

I Look to Jesus

I look to Jesus because I know He is the Way I look to Jesus when I take the time to pray I look to Jesus I know for sure He’ll see me through I look to Jesus and I recommend Him now to you

If you have a problem which you can’t seem to solve Take the time to pray, take it to the Lord above Wait upon Him there until you know He heard your prayer And when you sense His Spirit you know you can leave it there

Many people look away to other sources in this world When unseen fiery darts of evil began to whirl Which strike out their poison at every color race or creed Most who don’t know where to turn to in time of need

Daily there is news of thousands of people dying Adults and children in despair each day crying They have no hope; their gods have failed them

They are all paying the price for generations of sin

I thank God there is an answer, yet in this world It’s Jesus Christ the Saviour for every man, woman, boy and girl And since He came into my life I can truly say Jesus Christ He is life, He is the Truth, He is the Way R:#61

I Need Someone Who Is Almighty

I confess that I cannot make it alone I need someone stronger I can turn too I need someone who I can trust in I need someone who will see me through

I need someone who is the Almighty One who does what He says He will do And that’s the reason why Lord Jesus I am coming to give my whole life to you

If I try to make it on my own I know that I am sure to fail I know I can’t always do what’s right For this is against my human will

Because there rages within my Things of my past that may cause my fall So I am submitting them to Your will

And I surrender now to You my all

For I know that You are trustworthy Since that I gave my life to You I have been slowly giving You myself And You have made each piece like new

But now I have come to the place of decision Should I give all or keep back a part I know I have given You the least important Because I’m finding it hard to give You my heart

So help me Lord Jesus to do what I need to As I give now my all to do Your own will That I may do something for You, for others And maybe help save others from going to hell R:#62

I Owe my Life to Him

When you are hurt, downcast and lonely And can’t seem to find anyone to care Then when your pain becomes so unbearable You kneel down and cry out to God in prayer

But when you cried out with bitter tears And asked Him what it was that you should do Then waited patiently on Him for an answer But He did not comfort or commune with you

Did you steal trust in what He had said In His word that He would do for you When He said if you would call upon Him That He would be there to see you through

Were you discouraged and felt forsaken And wished that you had never heard of Him And wished you had never read His word

Or had ever repented and was born again

Have these trials and times of temptations Caused you to wonder why you follow Christ Do you feel that you are just going nowhere And eternal life’s not worth the painful price

Well I too at times wonder why I am living For a way of life that I don’t fully understand All I know is that it’s by faith I believe And that I owe my life and my all to Him R:#63

I when Salvation came to me I when the Spirit set me free I having more joy than I ever had I feeling like I had been risen from the dead

I when the Holy Spirit came down I being on my knees upon the ground I the conviction that I felt within I confessing and repenting of my sin

I clearly still the vision that I saw I Jesus standing there so straight and tall I Him reaching out to me His nail scared hand I Him saying I will be you closest friend

I the change into my life suddenly came I my friends saying you’re not the same I how those friends began to put me down

I more the love of this new friend I had found

I how He’s been with me through the years I the times He showed me how much He cares I when into my life that day He came I it oh so well, when I was born again R:#64

I See Jesus

Where some people see hopelessness When things in life become a mess I can see the loving hand of Jesus Guiding me to a place of happiness

Where others see overwhelming confusion And lose their sense of vision in their pain I rejoice in overwhelming revelations Knowing He’s soon coming back again

For I see heavens gates wide open And nail scared hands reaching to me While a voice so soft and tender Comes from the one who set me free

No more torturous chains of darkness For I have been drawn to His light I have been set free from life’s trials

Into a land that knows no night

Satan’s powers have all been broken Nothing more can he do now to me Because safely in the arms of Jesus I will remain for all of eternity

Where others can find no comfort in sorrows In my sufferings I see visions so warm It brings me through these valleys of death And gives me peace in the midst of the storm R:#65

I Should Have Been The One

I should have been the one I should have been the one To have died for sins I done Not Your only begotten Son

But Lord I am so grateful That Jesus died for me And came to take my place Upon the cross at Calvary

I could not live long enough To give You all the praise That You deserve for saving me If I shout it loudly all my days

For what You have done for me No one else could ever do Because You cleansed my soul

In Your blood and made it new

And it humbles me to know What You for me have done When You became sin for me For I should have been the one R:#66

If Jesus Do Not Live

If Jesus Christ does not live Than the Bible is a myth There really is no God And the world does not exist

There is no place called Heaven Nor is there an eternal hell The things we see, they are not For we ourselves are not yet real

There is no ocean or mountain No lovely flowers, grass or trees Nor is there cruel raging storms Or a soft and gentle summer breeze

There is no sun in the sky above Nor a moon at evening tide These things they cannot exist

Because all things are yet void

Unless there was a Jesus Christ Who lived on earth one day Who died and arose again Just like the scriptures say

Since most knowledge comes from one book The Bible, which is the word of God Which says not one title can fail From the time man walked upon the sod

So if the recordings of this book Which have proven itself to be true Proclaims the life of Jesus Christ To the unbelievers, who are you R:#67

If My People

If my people would seek My face Humble themselves and learn to pray Surely I would be their God And walk beside them every day

If they would not quench My Spirit But would read My Holy word I will send to them the Comforter Who will teach them saith the Lord

If My people would turn to Me And confess to Me all their sin If they come in true repentance Only then will I be known by them

Then would I open Heavens windows And pour out upon them the latter rain I would pour out My Spirit without measure

With blessings which they could not contain

Behold the last days are now upon you The day of My returning is approaching fast Behold your rapture is even more nearer And it will surely soon come to past R:#68

If We Only Knew

Only too often in life we go searching For something it seems we cannot find We go seeking after an inner fulfillment And hope we will gain a satisfied mind

But ever so often we find ourselves fallen Beneath the weight of a burdensome load As we try to figure what life’s all about While traveling along on life’s learning road

If we only knew from the beginning If we only saw what lay just ahead We would have been satisfied with a little And would have chosen to follow Jesus instead

Only too often we go our own rebellious way And turn our backs on what we know is right We are determined to please our selfish desires

And try to put God so far out of our sight

But ever so often we end up with a problem Things didn’t go the way we had planned it too So here we are again confessing our failures And hoping again Lord, to make it right with You

If we only knew from the beginning If we only saw what lay just ahead We would have been satisfied with a little And would have chosen to follow Jesus instead

Only too often when things are going well We soon forget where our blessings are from And we go back into our sinful situation Forgetting about God and Jesus His son

But ever so often sin leads to destruction And dreadfully hurts us and the ones we love Then in our weak and remorseful condition We cry out to for mercy from the God above

If we only knew from the beginning If we only saw what lay just ahead We would have been satisfied with a little And would have chosen to follow Jesus instead

But we never know in the beginning What life has laid up for us ahead But in Gods word there are warnings Don’t follow the world, follow Jesus instead

But it is ever so often we don’t heed His warning And do has so many have done before We take the fast pace highway of life Which leads straight into hells open door

If we only knew from the beginning If we only saw what lay just ahead We would have been satisfied with a little And would have chosen to follow Jesus instead R:#69

If You Believe

If you believe in Jesus Christ If you believe He can save your soul If you confess you are a sinner If you realize you’re not in control

If you realize you need a Saviour And can do nothing to save you from sin Then you are in the place of repentance You’re in the right place to be born again

Do you feel remorseful for your sins Are you really sorry for things you’ve done Do you realize what you are asking Of Almighty Gods only begotten Son

The blood Jesus shed at Calvary Is the sin covering you will receive And a place with Him in Heaven above

If You Could Believe

If you could believe there is a God Who created the world and all therein If you could believe that Adam and Eve Caused the world to be corrupted by sin

If you could believe in a young woman Being a virgin but yet giving birth If you could believe in the Son of God By the way of Mary coming to earth

If you could believe you are lost in sin And somebody had to pay your sins cost If you could believe in Jesus Christ Hanging in your place there upon the cross

If you could believe He died for you To free you from your sin and shame If you could believe you can be saved

By the miraculous power of Jesus name

If you could believe that He is the one To fill that empty void you have within If you could believe, confess and repent Then give Him your life and be born again R:#71

If You Have Fallen

If for some reason you have wandered from Jesus And have caused your life to be marred by sin Do not be fooled by those lies of the devil But in humble repentance just come back to Him

When we are first saved and give our lives to Jesus And feel that first joy of being born again We feel as if the weight of the world is taken off us All our burdens are gone and we feel no more pain

But as we go onward and keep pressing forward We cannot discern those pitfalls in our way So we trip and fall and feel we have lost it Because we don’t yet know the games demons play

For as an angel of light Satan tries to deceive us To cause us to fall from this new life in Christ He makes it to look as if God is just testing us

And causes us to wonder if we made the right choice

He sends forth his angels, which from grace have fallen Who tempts us to do things that we should not do For he is determined to deceive and destroy us And to take away from us everything that is true

But if we can only see through the storm that is raging And see that it’s not God at all who’s to blame We would realize that Satan has already been conquered By the power of the blood and through Jesus name R:#72

If You Need Love

If you’re in the place where you need love Reach out to God for He is love And all of your problems He will solve And comfort you with His Heavenly dove

Is your burdens to heavy to carry Are you weighed down with guilt and shame Dose everything in life seem to be falling apart And you’re breaking beneath the strain

Do you feel lonely, helpless and hopeless And can’t keep taking all of this pain Come on now and share it with Jesus Come and call upon His Holy name

If you’re living in sin why don’t you repent Ask His forgiveness and you will see That He has the power to deliver you

He alone can set your Spirit free

And if you need healing just trust Him He will in His time and His place So believe on the name of Jesus Christ And receive it through faith and by His grace R:#73

I’m Not The Same

I’m not the same I’m not the same I know Since Jesus came in and saved my soul I’ve been changed, my life seems all aglow Since Jesus made me whole I’m not the same I know

When I decided to give my life to Him He took me as I was with all of my sin He changed me without and cleansed me within He gave me new birth; I have been born again

But to His truth I was so blind I could not see So the baptism in His Holy Spirit He gave to me And oh my what rejoicing when He set me free Now I’m as happy and content as a man can be

My life seems so on fire, l have a new desire to pray And I get so excited as I read His word each day My ears are so attentive to what He has to say

I have become ever so eager to be humble and obey

I pray this will last forever this feeling I now feel I have such a longing to save some souls from hell I can’t wait at times His wondrous story to tell I know that I am changed for this change is so real R:#74

It’s Your Move

Are you waiting for the Lord that He might come unto you Pick you up from where you are and make you feel like new Well do not sit and wait too long He may never come your way But if you take that first step He can save your soul today

You watch closely all Gods people they are different and you know That when you see them rejoicing there is a joy within their soul You long to have this feeling you are seeking after it all the time Jesus said knock and the door will be opened seek and you shall find

Don’t put it off until tomorrow; no do not hesitate Jesus, He is longing for you why would you make Him wait You may return tomorrow and find a lock upon the door To realize you should have taken that step one day before

As you look back and yesterday there in that pew How we were all rejoicing and you wished you could have too But you could not grasp the reality of the things you herd

You could not seem to open your heart to receive Gods word

Now you have changed your mind and decided to give this a try Not realizing Jesus came and His saints are gone with Him on high You take a walk around this place but you cannot hear a sound You seek and search for answers but no evidence can be found

Until the great white throne came forth, judgment day was to began Jesus sat upon the throne before Him stood this confused young man He said I saw you down there on earth waiting just outside the gate You have waited there one day to long, you are now one day to late R:#75

I’ve Been Calling

I have been calling but you have not answered But patiently I am now calling to you again Because from up here I can see where you’re headed As you wander along in life’s wilderness of sin

If you could just see things from where I am sitting As I look down on earths tangled jungles below I have such a perfect view of all of its dangers So I can easily guide you in the right way to go

There is also a map that I have had written By holy men down through the thousands of years If you were to read it and study its contents The Bible gives perfect direction to all of the where’s

The where’s of where you should not be going The where’s of the dangers that could do you harm It also shows you the what’s of what lies ahead

As these truths are revealed the Spirit gives an alarm

For if you had the Holy Spirit within you And studied My map to the great pathway of life You with My help would walk carefree and joyful Enjoying your life to the fullness without strife

But there is something that you must do before That you can receive this guiding light within You must repent of sin; accept Me, Jesus as Saviour Be washed in My blood, for you must be born again R:#76

Jesus Lives and Cares

Do you know that Jesus lives and cares for you Do you realize He knows all that you have gone through Do you know that if you die you may go to Hell Or do you realize Jesus Christ already paid your bail

You see Jesus He is really God but in human form He caused a virgin to conceive and was as a baby born The same as us He grew up in an ordinary home And most of the things we do now He has also done

He would play games with other children in His town Playing ball and other games always running around But when He got older He was considered somewhat odd He reframed Himself from those things and did the will of God

He began to preach the word of God throughout the land As preachers do today He tried to help people understand But they could not accept His teaching; maybe you’re the same

He said the only way to receive Salvation is to be born again

The reason that He left Heaven and came down to earth Was to die for our sins so that we could have new birth Not the birth of the flesh the way that we now live But the Spiritual birth of the inner man, He died to give

Because of the fall of Adam and Eve we are all born in sin So we are all in need to fill an empty void we have within Only one can fill that emptiness He is the Holy Spirit of Christ He alone died for your sins and paid your Redemption price

All you need to do now is to Confess and Repent of your sin Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and ask Him to come in Tell Him you need forgiveness and you want to make things right Ask Him to take away sins darkness and fill it with His light R:#77

Just looking for a way

They’re just looking for a way to enter in They’re just looking for a way to enter in They don’t want to repent; they like to live in sin They’re just looking for a way to enter in

Many people now adays like to do things their own way Still they go to church kneel down and try to pray They do not seem to hear what the preacher has to say As long as it makes them happy they think it’s okay

It seems that all of Gods rebellious creation Has gone far astray in all the world’s nations They believe with the beast, they have relation They just do things and do not ask any question

Sexual desires seems to be their latest fad Trying to find out how many they can get in bed You would think their brain had left their head

Not considering were they go after they are dead

They must confess, repent and do it very soon It may be morning or it may be at night or noon When Jesus comes again they’ll meet their doom If they don’t get their hearts and lives in tune R:#78

Knowing God

Set your heart upon the Lord And consider all of His ways Then He’ll be your strength To help you through all your days

He will guide you in the right path You need not fear that you may fall For He Himself will sustain you When you on Him in troubles call

He will never leave or forsake you He will become your closest friend And if you will allow Him too He will stay with you to the end

So why don’t you now read His word And be drawn much closer to Him To be changed into His likeness alone

And live a life without guilt or sin

For you are called, yes you are chosen To do for Him some mighty task So don’t be slothful when He calls you For He will surely bring it to

So come now my child and draw closer Just wait and listen for Me to call Because the job I have chosen for you May be the most important one of all R:#79

Last Chance

Lord you know I am just a man Who do not always understand The message you are trying to give To teach me how to better live

So I let many things into my life Which cause discomfort, hurt and strife It seems that I misunderstood Thinking I would receive something good

From that which I thought was from Thee A special message meant for me But the enemy played his part well And the message was sent from hell

With all the excitement of the news I guess I must have gotten confused And didn’t notice the message came to my head

But it should have been from my heart instead

Lord I’m sorry for times I do not see By the spirit the message you sends to me But instead becomes so easily deceived By the false message which I’ve received R:#80

Leaving with Nothing

It does not matter what we may have While we live down here on earth Because when we leave we can only take What we brought on the day of birth

We have never been promised big mansions But only those things that are our needs Most anything else which we possess Is by determination to meet our greed’s

Only too often people push themselves Into an untimely, unwanted early grave Because they push themselves so hard To get, to gain, to have and to save

Then in time the things they have Cost them more than it is worth And so many go to their eternity

Never enjoying a day of life on earth

Then all of the things they worked for May be left to those who’ll waste it away While they miserably go into eternity Not knowing Jesus until the judgment day R:#81

Let go and let God

Is there something in life that is bothering you And confused you are not sure what you should do Then give it to Jesus and give Him complete control Just stop your holding unto it you must let it all go

For if you are trying to hold onto just a small part That means you don’t trust Jesus with all of your heart Neither do you love Him with all your soul and mind Or else you would trust Him in everything all the time

These words may sound harsh, blunt and even cruel But these are words to the wise and not for the fool Only those who live by the spirit of God can receive Who will accept His truth and just humbly believe

And letting go of the things they now possess They will be letting go of what is causing the mess Because it is the worldly things that bring you down

So you will feel much better without them around

Let go and let God have control of your life And He will deliver it from the pathways of strife Guiding it gently by His almighty powerful hand In a way that you could not explain or understand

For He is a God who does things in the olden ways Just the way that He did back in the ancient days He is an unchanging God doing according to His will And if He is not in control than you’re in danger of hell R:#82

Lukewarm Sinners

Many lukewarm sinners today Kind of sitting on the fence Do all sorts of deceitful things Which really don’t make much since

In a way the things they do Can be termed I guess as fraud Because they do it secretly And think they are fooling God

The foolish thing about it all is These types of people somehow think If the pastor does not hear of it That God will have no other link

They do not seem to understand Or else they would surely realize To God nothing has a covering

All things are naked in His eyes

They do not hear the Masters voice Even though the message may be clear They have decided a long time ago To close of their spiritual ear R:#83

Message from Heaven

I have been sent with a message from Heaven A message which says your sins are forgiven And now that you’ve been given this life anew I came to remind you that Jesus loves you

As Jesus loves you, you should love one another For He has proclaimed your birth to the Father Who, with the angels gathered round His throne Rejoice in those who are His loved ones His own

Father and Son in Heaven, the Holy Spirit on earth Unites in oneness with joy after each new birth Than a moment of silence no one makes a sound In Heaven while this new name is written down

With excitement Gabriel gives his trumpet a blast When this long moment of silence have finally past It’s time to rejoice around Gods Heavenly throne

For another lost sinner have found their way home

So this message from Heaven I came to declare Is that the Father is longing to take you up there But for now be faithful, be patient and true And rejoice in the Salvation He has given to you R:#84

Moving Onward and Forward

I’m moving onward, I’m moving forward I’m not looking back to the days of my sin I’m not looking back to the years of my sorrows I’m moving onward and upward to a future with Him

I the day while there at an altar When Jesus came in and washed my sins away The light I received when my eyes were opened Changed my inner vision from night to day

Even though as I stood there I was rejecting I was fighting this feeling with all that I could Because I didn’t know this strange thing within me Was someone soul searching and was doing me good

But I soon realized I was fighting with someone Who was much stronger and much mightier than I He conquered my rebellion half way through the battle

And caused the old man that was in me to die

He took control of the evil forces that had me Chained like a slave to all of sins wickedness When there on that day that I met with Jesus Who saw my need for Salvation now I’m free at last

I’m no longer a slave to those things that surround me No longer a slave to the possessions of this life anymore Because I know I could never take these things with me When He soon calls me away to Heavens beautiful shore

Now I’m just looking forward to the sound of the trumpet I’m not looking back on the things I am leaving behind I’m soon going to a mansion where I will not need them So I’m just relaxing and living with a satisfied mind

I’m moving onward and I’m moving forward I’m not looking back to the days of my sin I’m not looking back to the years of my sorrows I’m moving onward and forward to a future with Him

My Bridge Over Troubled Waters

When in times of trials and testing While on my earthly journey here below I am often inclined to look deep within To discern the fate of my inner soul

As the wiles of the enemy afflicts me Sets up camp and comes me about I desperately seek for my souls refuges I seek after God to find a way out

I cry out to Him in this time of trouble As I humble myself to Him and bow down In You alone Lord is my only refuge In You alone can Salvation be found

You are my bridge over troubled waters And You will never let me down You are my bridge over troubled waters

Against all odds it seems I’ve been pushed As if I am being pressed against a wall Until the pressure becomes so unbearable Down at Your feet I am forced to fall

And while in agony of my wounded soul I cry Lord please help; my soul is about to drown You alone Lord Jesus is worthy to save me In You alone can I find a refuge that’s sound

My Desire

My desire Lord is to be A little closer drawn to Thee To learn Your ways, walk therein Accept Your grace, turn from sin

There are some things I’d like to be Create these changes Lord in me A heart full of love toward all man And a burden for the souls of them

Grant to me the gift of charity That my light would shine for Thee Give me the faith that I will need To trust in You when I sew a seed

Strengthen me to do Your work each day Help me to accept what comes my way Let me be off help for someone else

Always living for others, denying self

If someone needs a helping hand Lord help me do all that I can In persecutions let me pay the price To reveal to others Jesus Christ

Teach me to pray the way I should And to eat daily Your spiritual food That I may discern wrong from right To turn from darkness into light

Lord this last thing I ask of Thee Open my Spiritual eyes to see Make Heaven and hell real to me That I Your soul winner might be R:#87

My Hearts Cry

Way down, deep down inside my soul There is a cry to my God above I need to know, I have to know That I am safe in your arms of love

Many times in life I venture out On curious pathways of my own Until it seems I comed with fear And I feel that I’m all alone

Within my heart begins to fail me Then I hear a cry within my soul Oh God, forgive me for my wanderings Here is my reins please take control

Lead me to the path more righteous Place my feet on the narrow way Lead me unto life everlasting

Where forever with You I’ll stay

Way down, deep down inside my soul There is a cry to my God above I need to know, I have to know That I am safe in Your arms of love

But help me now Lord on my journey As I live this life now here below Be my helper, guide and teacher Feed me food to help me grow

That I may grow into Your image And become in Your likeness, so divine Let my words be pure and Holy And let my life be wholly Thine

May I always sense Your presence And hear Your voice deep down within Reassuring me that You are with me And will be with me until the end

My Humble Prayer

As humbly before You I bow I ask You Lord to hear me now And while I wait upon You here Will You O Lord answer my prayer

Many things I know I ask of Thee And most may not be good for me So I ask of You dear Lord tonight To decide for me the thing that’s right

I know so many times I come to You And You will tell me what I am to do You give me such an easy task But somehow I can’t do what You ask

Then I get all down and I feel so bad I come to You hoping You’re not mad I kneel and wait, I feel so all alone

And finally I can see You on Your throne

My heart cries out as I make my plea O Lord please have mercy on me I’m so sorry I failed and could not do This little thing You asked me too

I promise Lord I’ll never fail You again So another little task You’d give me then I’d say thank Lord and be on my way But at the right time I had nothing to say

So again feeling defeated I would come to You And like at other times You would see me through To comfort me and try to make me understand Just how helpless and frail without You I am

Now that I’ve grown more stronger spiritually There are still many weaknesses in me I see But I’ve come to realize through so many tests What pleases You is to know I did my best

Even though I have failed You, You understood And stayed beside me as only a Father could But my journey is not finished here on earth There are so many souls in need of a new birth

Though I may fail You Lord in my own sight I know You can turn my wrongs all into right So please keep on trying, put me to the test Until You call me into my place of eternal rest R:#89

My Master, Lord and King

You are the master of my reins You are my Lord and my King You are always in control Where You lead me I will go

My ri and my laying down With me always You’ll be found My going out and my coming in You’ll always be my closest friend

You’ll never leave or forsake me I can put all my trust in Thee And if by chance I somehow stray You will be with me all the way

Yes by Your strong and mighty hand You’ll gently guide me back again Unto the path You paved with love

Which You have sent us from above

You are the Truth, the Life, the Way You are the Master of my life today You are the Father and the Son You are the Spirit, You are One R:#90

Needless Worry

There are many today who lay awake Afraid to sleep in case Jesus may come And still they will not come to repentance But go on living a life they consider is fun

They think that if they will stay awake They may see Him at a moment’s glance Just long enough to call out for mercy Then they too might have a chance

A chance to escape the wrath of God And the judgment of hells fiery flame If they could only be laying there awake Then they could call out aloud His name

Maybe He will take notice of my good works And forget all those bad things I have done Because I really do believe there is a God And I believe that Jesus Christ is His son

O foolish man don’t lay awake anymore And watch and wait for Jesus to appear Because in the rapture He will not be seen But His people will just one day disappear

And you will be left behind here on earth To wait for that great judgment day When you could have repented and been saved Just by simply taking a few moments to pray

A few moments to ask God for forgiveness For all of your rebellion and sin Just a few moments to make the difference Whether or not you will make it in

So if tonight you are laying there thinking About what will happen if Jesus will come Just call out to God for His unfailing mercy And be washed in the blood of Jesus His son R:#91

Not Walking in Gods Will

You’re not walking in the will of God You’re not walking in the will of God If you don’t put your feet where the Savior trod You’re not walking in the will of God

You may go to church each Sunday And pretend that you are living right Maybe you can fool the congregation But you are always naked in Gods sight

You may be seemingly very popular And everyone thinks you’re so swell They don’t know the double life you live Which may lead your soul to hell

You may hide it from most people But really you know you can’t afford To take the chance on trying

To hide this from the Lord

For the day is coming very soon When Jesus will call His people home Will you be one who will go with Him Or will you come later before the white throne R:#92

Nothing without God

Without God you have nothing worthwhile Your life is just a living empty old shell Without God you will fall beneath sins heavy load And your soul will be lost to an eternal hell

Take heed to my warning while there is still time Don’t try to go through life your own way Call upon God and receive proper direction And listen close to the words He has to say

The words He has written in His Holy word Written by Spirit filled men a long time ago As they were inspired by the Holy Spirit Way back in the ancient days of old

They mentioned so many signs of our times That would be seen in the earth, sky and sea For-telling what things the future would hold

And how things on earth in the last days would be

They told of the past and what had happened For man to have fallen away from Gods grace And warned of all of the things would happen In the near future to the whole human race

They tell of the way man can receive Salvation And be saved from the wrath that is to come Giving man a way to escape eternal damnation Through the blood of Jesus Christ, Gods only Son R:#93

One of Those Days

Sometimes I have one of those times When all the forces of hell seem to cross my line Everything goes wrong no matter what I do He seems to be allowed to take my finances too

This is one of those times when Satan’s attacks Seems to twist my life and put it of its tracks I can see no help in sight, nobody I can turn to Just God alone to depend on, He will see me through

Tortuous turmoil crowd my mind trying to pull me down And every good that I would think seems to twist around Depression sets in to take its place on my weakened mind While other demons of hell do there all to make me blind

They put up this wall of darkness between God and me To blind me from His truth that I could not spiritually see My mind confused with pressure it can no longer take

Cries out in disparate agony Lord help for Jesus sake

I do not understand this, which I am going through So once again in Jesus name I come now to you For this is one of those times, I need a helping hand And You’re the only one I know who will understand R:#94

Only Believe

I once was a drifter a Nomad of the earth I was an outcast from the day of my birth Through no fault of my own I was born condemned Alienated from God; I was born to bear Adams sin

But then one day I heard this old, old story About someone who came to earth long, long ago It said, if you have sinned you need not worry There is a man named Jesus who can save your soul

Only believe that Jesus loves you Only believe in His love so divine Only believe in His eternal Salvation Only believe and receive His love for Thine

I hesitated at hearing such an invitation How could it be that this man died for my sin Was nailed to a cross, than laid bound in a tomb

And after three days He arose and was living again

But then through conviction the Spirit convinced me And I knelt down and repented for living my life in vain I asked for forgiveness and receive pardon from Jesus Then He came into my life and now I have been born again

I simply believed that Jesus loved me I simply believed in His love so divine I simply believed in eternal Salvation I simply believed and received His love for mine

Now I’m walking freely through this world of strife Though there is turmoil all around me I’m enjoying my life No longer bound by the darkness of sins choking chain I have been set free by the power of Jesus matchless name

I look back on the past on the years I have wasted But there is nothing now that I can do about them So I just simply leave all of my past behind me And go onward and forward living my life for Him

I now believe that Jesus loves me I now believe in His love so divine I now believe in eternal Salvation I now believe and received His love for mine

Now if you are as I was and you are living without Jesus Why don’t you take heed now friend to my good advice Come today believing and receive freely Salvation And be washed in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ

Don’t hesitate now or take His love for granted As His Spirit calls on you just hasten right on board Do not reject the invitation to receive your souls Salvation Or the soon coming wedding of Jesus Christ our conquering Lord

Only believe that Jesus loves you Only believe in His love so divine Only believe in eternal Salvation Only believe and receive His love for Thine R:#95

Only Two Places

I hear that you woke up screaming in the middle of the night Not really knowing if you are living life right Not knowing for sure who will claim your eternal soul You don’t know for sure in which direction it will go

You heard a little voice somewhere inside you saying Don’t you think it’s time that you started praying And sought some answers for those thoughts in your brain Before they make you feel like you’re losing it and going insane

But then you heard another voice interrupting and did say Don’t you listen to all that stuff; there is no need to pray I’ll tell you what to do for there is really nothing to it Whatever you feel is right for you just go ahead and do it

Now there are only two places for your soul to go It is to heaven above or to hell below And now that decision has been left to you

It’s your choice now what you’re going to do

But then the humble little voice said don’t you listen to him You know that he is the devil and he is leading you into sin Just read the word of God, believe and do what it says And you will have peace within and contentment all your days

Then when the time has come for your life here to depart You will have My witness settled deep down in your heart That when I come again you’ll know for sure where you will go When I return to claim and reunite your body with your soul

Now if these thoughts are still missed up or confusing to you Let me give you a little advice of what you might want to do Try listening to the words of the humble little voice For if you believe as I do these are the words of Jesus Christ

Now there are only two places for your soul to go It is to heaven above or to hell below And now that decision has been left to you It’s your choice now what you’re going to do

Our Victory

Where is your sting oh death Where is your victory oh grave Since the Son of God came to earth For mans lost souls to save

Was not death swallowed up in victory When He was nailed upon a tree Oh grave will you not lose all your foes Because that Jesus Christ arose

Will the Lord not appear in the skies And His saints from their graves arise To meet with living saints in the air When the, is come for Jesus to appear

And when the judgment day has come And all of Gods children are gathered home Will not the graves be opened up again

And will not the dead arise from them

Will not those who rejected His call Receive now the greatest death of all Cast into the lake of fire to burn With death and the grave in their turn

Who will be left when they are gone Will the saints of God still live on And Satan, what became of that old liar Was he too cast into the lake of fire

Has sin and sorrows all finally past Is there really peace on earth at last Soon I say these things will surely be Then Gods people will all live for eternity R:#97

Pleading for Souls

Sinner I’m pleading, sinner I’m pleading My heart is grieving I want you to know Sinner I’m pleading, to God I’m pleading That He may have mercy and save your soul

Time quickly is ing and keeps getting shorter Scriptures are being fulfilled by Gods own will Then comes the decision after His returning Whether you will be going to Heaven or Hell

It’s time now for you to consider your ways Where will you go to when Jesus returns Will you go with those who have served Him Or be cast in the pit there the eternal fire burns

Never more to return to the life you now live Too late for repentance you had made your choice You paved the road to your own destruction

By rejecting your only Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ

So heed now to my warning return now to the Lord Come now, accept Him while you still have time He will have mercy; He’ll reach out and save you As in His word He has promised He won’t leave us behind

Safe in His arms O how you would be rejoicing Now that you know He claimed you for His own And in your heart His blessed assurance He never; no never will ever leave you alone

So sinner come now to receive freely Salvation While it still flows from Gods Holy throne Come while His Spirit to you now is pleading Be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ His Son R:#98

Prayer For Direction

Lord I ask You to hear this prayer of mine As I bring this request to You one more time It’s concerning Your people who in these days Who in disobedience live in their own ways

Lord I wish there was something I could do To help them return and come back to You But You know I have never been to Bible school So my words would be taken has that of a fool

Lord we live in such an ungodly time again If you’re not educated you don’t know anything Just as it was Jesus when You lived here below Certain church leaders are now in full control

They teach to Your people doctrines of man Who when they hear the truth don’t understand They go to their leaders for sight to receive

Only to come away more blinded and deceived

It’s the same now Lord as it was in Your day So I ask You to teach me Lord, how to pray I ask You now to Gethsemane And allow this Thy spirit to pray through me R:#99

Prayer for Guidance

Lord God above look down in love Consider all my thoughts I pray Take from my mind all of the kinds Of thoughts which make men stray

Let me not be as one of those Who slander Your righteous name For they are those who go to hell After living this life all in vain

Please let my heart be set on You And Your desires be my delight And may each day I kneel and pray In the morning at noon or night

And if there is some ungodly thing Have come and crept into my heart Lord sort it out, and cast it out

And cause all sin seeds to depart

If there is found within me Lord Roots of unrighteousness or deceit Sit on Your throne, cleanse Your home And make the work in me complete

If I have offended someone else Which may have hurt them deep within Forgive me of this my transgressions And deliver me from all of my sins

If there is somebody now who In some way have offended me Lord show to them, they are forgiven Bless them now Lord is my plea

For I have come to trust in you Since You claimed me for Your own I’ve no desire Father to serve another It is just You and Christ alone

Listen all ye saints of God The time is drawing nigh So it’s time to set your eyes Upon the eastern sky

Soon the trumpet will be sounding So like the wise virgins, be wise Keep your lamps all trimmed and burning Until the saints in the graves arise

Then will we all go up together To meet our Lord Jesus in the air And then be ascended into Heaven To live forever more with Jesus there

So get all excited about His coming Go tell a stranger a neighbor or a friend How Jesus Christ became your Saviour

Reach out to somebody today Reach out to somebody today Take someone by the hand Tell them of God’s salvation plan Reach out to somebody today

Give something to someone today Give something to someone today Teach someone to kneel and pray Freely you have received freely give it away Give something to someone today

Go and find someone in need today Go and find someone in need today that you have a job to do God is counting; He’s counting on you Go and find someone in need today

Show Gods love to somebody today Show God’s love to somebody today Tell them God so love the world He gave His only son And in Heaven is offering them an eternal life and home Show Gods love to somebody today R:#102

Redemptions Price

It was a long and torturous journey Through the dust and heat of the day Has the soldiers pushed Jesus forward Upon His own death road to Calvary

His head bleeding from His crown of thorns Dripped slowly down over His brow As the mob mockingly spit upon Him Shouted, where is Your kingdom now

But bearing His cross He tarried on Carrying the sin and guilt of all men Until they had come to Golgotha Where, there they crucified Him

Now Mary His mother stood weeping How could something like this be done To the one she knew God had chosen

For it was His only begotten Son

Then came a soldier and pierced Him And from His side came water and blood Which fell to the ground beneath Him At the cross where His mother stood

Knowing that all had been finished For this meant that her Son was dead She made haste to prepare for His funeral With His disciples who had gone on ahead

But while there in the tomb He lay His Spirit was not laying still For He had so many things to do Has He went to visit the devil in hell

He conquered death and took the keys Of hell, death and the grave Then rose again up from, the dead That He mans soul now might save

So Mary your child died not in vain He came and did what He had too To rescue Gods fallen creation And bring Salvation to me and you

Now if you like Mary is standing At the foot of the old rugged cross Ask God to sprinkle you with His blood So that your soul will not be lost R:#103

Me

Many times in life when sorrows bring us down We seek for comfort but so little can be found We try many things our wounded spirit to revive But so often we reject that God is truly alive

The words of Jesus have been so often misread And many of Gods people have been so often misled That they have become hardened to what’s really true So they go on doing what they think they should do

How deceitfully they follow what they believe is right Deceiving themselves, having no spiritual sight They are wandering in a wilderness of self-centered sin Not knowing the Jesus whom they say lives within

My child; just Me With My arms out stretched on the cross for thee My child the empty old grave

I am risen and I am able to save

When times of trials come and put us through the test Many will fail even if they do their very best Because they have not taken time out to pray And didn’t see the need to read their Bible each day

Now too weak to go on they are hoping to find Something that will comfort and give them peace of mind But if they could just look beyond disbelief they would see Two nailed scared hands reaching, saying come unto Me

My child; just Me With My arms out stretched on the cross for thee My child the empty old grave I am risen and I am able to save R:#104

Running from the Saviour

Why do you keep running away from the Saviour Running away from the things which you know are true Why don’t you come back and accept His offer And you can begin living your life as new

How could you wander once you have been there And have experienced the love, which He has for you And knowing the penalty for rejecting your Salvation Why do you go on doing the things that you do

You know in your heart there are no excuses For you know that God can bring you through You know He can cleanse, save and redeem you If you would stop rejecting Him and allow Him too

Come now while He’s calling don’t let Satan deceive you Don’t keep on walking through life in the mire of sin Can’t you hear Jesus who at your hearts door is knocking

Won’t you open the door and let your Saviour come in

You won’t need to worry if you tell Him your sorry And if you go on and reject Him, He’ll love you still But the word has been written; there is no protection If you won’t accept Jesus than you must go to Hell R:#105

Running life’s race Gods way

The world don’t understand us Neither can they figure it out Why a group of people would gather Just to sing and praise and shout

They cannot see the reason why We do the Godly things we do They think we are missing all the fun By always being so honest and true

They can’t seem to figure this out Why we worship something we can’t see Or someone who we believe is alive To them this is such a mystery

They do not know the difference That Jesus makes within ones life How He turns their lives around

And saves them from worldly strife

But I’m not bothered by their ignorance Because I’ve decided a long time ago That I found the answer to my forever When I turned from being a worldly fool

None of these things to me matters They are part of the past I was in But I have decided to follow Jesus Never to turn to the worlds ways again

And I am determined to finish my race No matter what others think or do say I will make my goal, receive my crown As I merrily run in life’s race Gods way R:#106

Salvation

If you are unsaved why not get saved Confess and repent of all of your sin Believe in Jesus if you need Salvation Tell Him you would like to born again

Now if you say that you have no sin You are rejecting Gods mercy and grace For because of the fall of Eve and Adam The seed of sin is born in the human race

But if you can see that you are a sinner Then believe on Jesus Christ, He is the way He’s the only redemption for mans Salvation Receive it and rejoice in a new life today

If you are one who already accepted Him And have experienced the gift of Salvations plan Enjoy the blessing that is already given you

To help you go rejoicing into the promise land R:#107

Salvations Cost

Many people may wonder why God might be Interested in saving the souls of men Is it not because of mans sinful rebellion Which separated all mankind from Him

There was a price that God must pay To pay for mans redemptions cost So He sent His only begotten Son To die for them upon the cross

And has the blood ran down that cross It was an atonement for all of our sin That we may be cleansed and renewed And be reconciled again back to Him

But there is a price that we to must pay Even though His Salvation for us is free We must give Him all our sinful desires

And promise to turn from all iniquity

We must give our lives to Him complete With no excuses or hidden secretes hidden Just open and honest before Him stand Not trying to do something that is forbidden

The way that we are is the way we’re to come Not trying to be good but just being ourselves Not what we think we may one day become He’s asking for you and not somebody else R:#108

Salvations Plan

Long, long ago in ancient times before there was men God created a perfect world and everything therein Then He created Adam and Eve and gave control to them Who being deceived by Satan caused Creation all to sin

This fall caused God to come up with a Salvation plan That He might somehow rescue His Creation, man Who had been so easily deceived, they didn’t understand And walked out from the protection of His almighty hand

For many years He sought a way to bring them back to Him But they went on their own way falling deeper into sin He made many sacrifices that He their souls might win He made many laws to follow and sent teachers unto them

Then after many hundreds of years it seemed all was lost God looked down on His Creation and considered the cost Must He send His only begotten Son to die upon a cross

Was there not another way to cleanse sins wretched dross

It seems He could not find any other way to save Those who were daily dying and going to a fiery grave So He made up His mind and Jesus’ life for us He gave That we through His example may know how to behave

And those of us who follow in the footsteps of His Son Has proven Gods decision for our Salvation victoriously won Because so many has turned back to what He first begun And daily they are rejoicing in what their Lord has done

Soon will be that glorious day when we with Him will reign In our Heavenly home above where we shall know no pain Where always we will rejoice and praise His matchless name Rejoicing for all eternity for we have been born again R:#109

Satan’s Defeat, Our Victory

It will be hello Jesus and goodbye devil When it has come time for me to go I will not miss your trials and temptations When I’m raptured from this world below

I’ll be in Heaven shouting and singing Rejoicing with all who have gone on before I will not what I now suffer here My past will be gone to be ed no more

This is your time now do has God allows you to For your time is short and your judgment will come When you will be cast into the bottomless pit forever For all of the wicked, evil things you have done

But I am determined by Gods grace alone That I will make it through each fiery trial And though the road is rough; He will give me grace enough

To make it through each temptation with a smile

And when the time is come which will be soon When I am caught up from this ungodly place I will be ed by all those who defeated you To forever more rejoice in Gods unchanging grace R:#110

Saved

Come now sit and listen and a story to you I’ll tell About a man called Jesus who came and saved my soul from hell It may sound somewhat unusual but one day when I was lost God sent Jesus His Son into the world to die upon a cross

The death I was experiencing was really a spiritual one The only one who could save me was the only begotten Son I was unclean in God’s sight for I was born with Adams sin On the outside I was clean and tidy but I was a wretch within

The only thing could wash away this sin within my soul Was the blood of Jesus Christ, which at Calvary did flow So He came, He bleed, He died alone; bore all the pain That I might be free from sin, that I may be born again

And today I have this witness living inside my soul The Comforter has come, I am saved and I’m sure I know Because when I lived in darkness there was turmoil and strife

But now there is a calm assurance dwelling deep inside my life

Yes, there is this calm assurance since Jesus Christ came in And cast out all the darkness and washed away my sin You too can have this freedom deep down within your soul If you would give your life to Jesus and let Him have control R:#111

Seed Planter

I’m trying to be a seed planter for Jesus How many will bloom may never be known For soon the harvesters will come reaping To reap the souls of the seeds I have sown

Some are called to boldly go the wondrous story tell While others are called to harvest lost souls from hell But unlike these I’m called to gently plant a seed Here and there when I can by helping those in need

Many arrows hurl my way in those fields of sin Though wounded at times I go on planting seeds for Him For many times in these fields I fall in deep despair But I have learned, much strength I can find in prayer

I may not be the best there is for the job that I do But I put my trust in Jesus; He will see me through Even though some fall on thorns or in the burning sands

He will not condemn me, He somehow always understands

if you have a calling to do some Godly deeds Whether it’s to minister, harvest, or plant some seeds Do the best you can until the day that Jesus has come Then count the souls you have saved when Jesus takes you home

Seeing through His eyes

If I could only but see myself Through the one who paid the price Yes if I could only see myself Through the eyes of Jesus Christ

As I sit sometimes and wonder Am I living life the best I can Am I truly walking in His will And daily devoting myself to Him

How could I know this for sure If I don’t really take the time To daily give Him time in prayer To minister to this heart of mine

If I don’t meditate upon His word And allow it to penetrate my soul By waiting patiently in His presence

And allowing His Spirit to have control

How can I see myself through Him Is it not through the words He left Which is witnessed by His Holy Spirit One of Gods many Heavenly gifts R:#113

Seeking Salvation

Dear Lord I’ve come to pray in Jesus name Cleanse me so I will be no longer the same As I have been for most all of my life Living a wretched sinner full of strife

Lord take this vessel and see what you can do To cleanse all of its filth and make it as new It’s not just dirty on the outside but deep within Stained with carelessly living a life in depths of sin

There is a lot of work to do if You take on the task And come into this life of mine to do Lord, as I ask It is not the kind of thing one would ask of a King Unless He would become a servant and do this thing

As for the pay, I don’t see anything in it worth while You will have to be the type to face it with a smile Just what is in it for You I’m not sure I understand

Only the pleasure of molding a vessel in Your potters hand

So here I am Lord, a real challenge as You can see Wondering if there is something that You can do for me I am a willing vessel if You think I’m worth a go You alone knows what the value is of my eternal soul

And if I’m worth Your while Lord, please come in today Take my past of all ungodliness and cast it far away That they may not be ed against me any more And that I will not have the desire to do as I did before R:#114

Set a watch, Lord

Dear Lord tonight in my prayer I ask That You would search my heart for pride Check my mind for self willed waywardness And let not a trace of sin in me abide

The things I say and do each day Make me be sure that they are all true Let me not speak with unrighteousness Lord help me to be a reflection of You

It is so easy as You know to stumble Not that You have these problems like us For we somehow always seem to mess up And somewhere, somehow cause someone a fuss

But Lord at times we must decide Which way is the most pleasing to You Which way is right, which way is wrong

What is the right thing I’m now to do

This is one of those times Lord When I need You to listen and hear Because to me this is so important Lord I need an answer to my prayer

If I have done something I should not have If there is some secret sin to tear me apart Search me today Lord cleanse me I pray Pluck up any roots that’s near to my heart R:#115

Set Free

Today an unwelcome visitor came And infested itself upon my mind Before very long I was all confused And felt I was going Spiritually blind

It somehow enter in there unawares Through some ungodly word I said Or by something I shouldn’t have thought And begin mes things in my head

There was one demon and then two Then a few more came to the fun And before I knew what was happening All of my thoughts were on the run

I was thinking about this and about that And none of it was making sense to me So I fell on my knees and prayed to God

Please help me Lord and set my mind free

How could this happen to Your child Who is trying their best to do Your will For Lord these thoughts I am thinking Could surely condemn my soul to hell

And in that moment I was set free My mind was clear as it was before He cast those demons out of my mind To enter and torment me never no more R:#116

Signs of His Coming

When I hear news of a sign Of some bright light in the air Rapturous thoughts ponder my mind Knowing that glorious day is drawing near

When we with the dead in Christ Will be caught up in clouds of the sky To meet Jesus and to Heaven go And eternal live in the palace on High

What a wonderful way to the day With joy my heart beats with delight When I meditate on what it may be After hearing of such wondrous sight

Is it finally time for Him to come And take us out of this world of sin How exciting is this, to think about

Jesus Christ is soon coming again R:#117

Simple Salvation

Though it is so simple most people don’t understand What the meaning is of God’s Salvation plan Though they search the Scriptures and try so hard to learn They cannot understand for it is Spiritually discerned

The problem that they have is they cannot believe And if you cannot accept the truth you cannot receive Unless you have Gods Spirit you don’t have a chance For without Him the word of God to you will make no sense

Now the simplicity of the plan is, Eve then Adam fell So far from the grace of God they were going to Hell But God did not want to destroy His Creation, Man So He decided That He would make a Salvation plan

He tried all kinds of sacrifices, cattle, goats and sheep But still none of His Commandments could man ever keep There had to be another Sacrifice, a much more Holy One

Nothing righteous on earth was found so He sent His Son

Jesus Christ gave His life, an atonement for mans sin He made a way for you and me to become born again His Sacrifice offers life and to each believers given Eternal life forever more at Home with God in Heaven R:#118

Since Jesus Came In

Since Jesus came into my heart And promised never again to depart I have loved Him right from the start Since Jesus came into my heart

Now there is a joy in my soul night and day He’s there beside me each step of the way I feel His overwhelming presence whenever I pray As He reassures me that I am doing okay

I doubt rejoicing like this as ever been known Which I experienced since I made Him my own And as each day my life His Spirit do atone I learn to put my trust in Him and Him alone

Through all of my struggles and all of my fears I have found in Him a friend who truly cares For me each of my many burdens He bares

He takes away my woes and dries away my tears

I have such a wonderful Saviour for my sin He has given me such a freedom, I’m rejoicing in I love to live to know I’m living now for Him I just love to live for Jesus since I’ve been born again R:#119

Some Day Soon

Some day Jesus is going to take my hand Some day He’s going to lead me through the promise land Some day I will realize and understand Some day soon when Jesus comes back again

I can see many signs and wonders each day Which makes me realize He will soon be on His way To take me from this life I now live into eternity I see it now as through a glass, but then clearly

I think about so often the many things I’ve herd I sit and meditate upon the reading of His word I search out all the scriptures others have preferred I find each new revelation draws me closer to the Lord

I feel each day He brings me much closer to Himself I have learned to heed His voice, not that of someone else I know I’d be much better off, poorly sitting on a shelf

Than to follow after doctrines of prosperity and wealth

Through many tests and trials I have come to learn How to avoid the fire, I know I can get burned I have learned to trust in Jesus; in Him I am firm Soon I’m going with Him to receive the crown I’ve earned R:#120

Story of Jesus

Come and listen to this story That all boys and girls should know About the little baby Jesus Born in a manger so long ago

When He began to grow up And was yet just a boy He seemed to be ordinary Just like you and I

Until one day in Jerusalem He did something really odd At the age of twelve years old He began to teach the word of God

His parents went three days journey Thinking Jesus was with His kin But He stayed back in Jerusalem

Teaching the word of God to them

But Jesus finally grew up And He became a grown man He preached all over Israel Trying to make them understand

That He was the true Messiah And there was no other way For anyone to get into Heaven Not even to this very day

But Jesus died upon a cross That He could take away our sin Then He came back from the dead So that we could all be born again

Now if you believe my story And with sin you want no part Why don’t you come and pray with me And invite Jesus Christ into your heart

Dear Lord Jesus I believe in you And I know You see everything I do I’m asking You now to forgive all my sin I give my life to You Jesus, please come in Amen R:#121

Talk to Jesus

When one is down, lonely and hurt And cannot find anyone who’ll care They can always take it to Jesus And talk to Him about it in prayer

He will always make time for those Who He hears calling on His name He will give them healing comfort Then they will never be the same

No matter how cast down one feels There is no need to fret or fear Because if one asks in Jesus name They can be sure He will be there

If you are now in some situation Where you don’t know what to do Why don’t you go to God in prayer

And you will find He cares for you

I can bear witness of His mercy Because He has done so much for me And every time I call upon Jesus I have always received total victory R:#122

Tell me about Jesus

Won’t you tell me all about Jesus Tell me about that lovely name Tell me about His death at Calvary Tell me how He arose again

Tell me how He healed the lepers And how He caused the blind to see How He made the lame to walk again And tell me how He set the captive free

Tell me how He spoke the word Like no other man had spoke before Words of power and life giving Which gives us life forever more

Tell me about a place in Heaven Prepared for those who follow Him Tell me how Jesus can save me

Tell me how I can be born again R:#123

Tempted and Tested

Empty and crying, alone and dyeing Someone is slowly, daily, within Burdens are heavy; heartaches are many While trying to live a life without sin

But the enemy attacks again and again Wounding that soul so cruel and severe Leaving wounds of unbearable pain Far greater than a mortal is able to bear

Satan’s out to destroy that child of God Has he have tried with so many before Who got through to God just in time And was delivered to be tested no more

But there’s been so many in temptations Deceived by Satan and fell by the way While tormented, oppressed and tempted

Has the demons of hell on them did prey

So has I sit here as always, alone As I have been this past few years I wonder if I’ll bow to Satan’s temptations Or will God be merciful and answer my prayers R:#124

Thank You Lord

Dear Lord, I come to thank You now For wearing the thorns upon Your brow For bearing Your own cross to Calvary And for taking my place and dying for me

Thank you Lord for coming back from the grave And for making a way for my soul to save That I may no longer be a slave to my sin But I now have a choice to be born again

To be born of Your Spirit and walk in Your light To shine for Your glory by day and by night That when others look at me they would see That You are not dead but You are living in me

Living a life that they too could receive If they would but humble themselves to believe And take a step forward and reach for the light

That their eyes may be opened to receive new sight

A vision Dear Lord, that comes only from You As You enter their lives and make it as new As they are born of the Spirit coming down from above Born again of the Spirit of grace, mercy and love

So now Lord as I close off this my prayer I want to thank You for meeting me here Also I want to thank You for all You have done And preparing for me now my eternal home R:#125

The Answer to Life’s Problems

A 747 falling out of the sky, no one knows why Bits and pieces scattered all over the place Oh my God, inside I cried What has become of the human race

Many terrorist are roaming our lands, no one understands What has happened to the love people had for each other Love has grown cold, why we don’t know There is so much hatred today between sister and brother

What we need is to get back to God; it may sound odd But we need to get back to moral living once again Study His Book; take a real good look Let us see what it contains to help us to reframe

Our whole structure is falling apart; no one has heart Nobody has the wisdom to make our society work Not too many cares, very few prayers

Seem to be going to the only one who can heal our hurts

There is so much stress in every Nation, most since Creation You would think people might consider it and wonder why All these perplexities, should bring us to our knees I guess we have just gotten use to this in the land, sea and sky

Every day the Scriptures are being fulfilled, so many killed Over foolish things which really doesn’t make much sense Why they do so, they don’t know They figure life is short and they just have to take a chance

What we need is for Jesus to come back again, destroy all sin Bring unity and put love back into the hearts of man Seeing through His eyes, we’ll realize That He is the only one who can solve the problems in our land R:#126

The Battle

It’s another blistering storm with hurricane winds And a dark tornado like tunnel I’ve gone through As these tidal waves of live quake the earth around me I am left somewhat bewildered and not sure what to do

For it is in these perilous times that Satan tempts me Because he can see that I have become confused and weak So he takes advantage and tries to overtake my mind That he may cast me into despair and knock me off my feet

So he throws his fiery darts of oppression and temptation To try and force or lure me into his snare of contempt Hoping that he could get me to sin against my Saviour And try to destroy me before I had a chance to repent

But through many trials and temptations I have come And I have learned to sense the breeze of a coming storm So that when those dark bellowing clouds break above me

I know the flashing, crashing thunder will bring no harm

Because I bow down and put all of my trust in Jesus And I dear not lift my eyes to look toward the sky I just hold unto that solid rock whose there beside me Until all those flashfloods of life just me by

Then I rejoice when the Son shines His light upon me And I sing praises unto the Father for all He has done To rescue me from the storms of life that surrounded me By anchoring me to that solid rock, Jesus Christ His Son R:#127

The Beggar

If by chance one day you happen to meet Some poor beggar as you walk on the street Do you think that you could invite him in Or despise him because he looks full of sin

What if some unjust circumstances in life Forced him to live in a way filled with strife And on the outward appearance looked very odd But within he was really another child of God

And though they would not win a beauty prize He was a beaming jewel in Gods seeing eyes He was a good witness unto his own kind Giving inner sight to the Spiritually, blind

And you not knowing just turned up your nose Judging the person by his ragged old clothes Instead of having some kind word to him say

You gave him a glare and went on your way

Now in the judgment you appear before Christ Who do you think will be Gods first choice The beggar standing there with most of his friends Or you standing there alone with your empty hands

the rich man and all his possessions And the poor beggar eating his crummy rations How in hell the rich man cried with a loud voice But the beggar entered into eternity with Christ R:#128

The Burning Light

There is a light that shines far brighter Than that of the ever burning sun Even though we cannot see what it is Or detect exactly where it comes from

Yet we can feel it in our hearts burning And leaves within us an inner glow At times it shines upon our countenance While it’s enlightening upon our soul

We who are in Christ has a glimpse Of this Holy Ghost light now and then As He cleanses His inner temple And rids it of all secret sin

Those who are outside cannot see it Because they are too dark within They may not see this light of God

Until Jesus has come to earth again

Then will they see the light of the glory Of the only begotten, Gods only Son They for a moment in judgment will see it But we will forever be with Him as one R:#129

The Call

I sought a man who would go for Me Into the fields of souls lost in sin I sought for one who was trustworthy Who would do his best each soul to win

But in My search I could not find There was none righteous, no not one So I considered the cost to gain them Then I decided to send My only Son

He would not go just to tell them But He would pay redemptions price He would become sin and die for them His life’s blood would be the Sacrifice

My Son Jesus in whom I am well pleased Did His part and your Salvation won Now, will you do your part and follow Him

And walk in the footsteps of My only Son

Just tell to others the words that’s written You need not change my word for them Just tell them they need a Saviour, Jesus And I will bear witness of it with in R:#130

The Coming Judgment

They cried to the mountains please fall on us But the mountains did not hear their voice Has their eyes melted out of their sockets While beholding the coming of Jesus Christ

For many years there has been preachers Proclaiming the gospel of our risen Lord But still most people will only deny this They don’t want to listen to even a word

They think that a Christian is only a fool Living for something which does not exist Not realizing Jesus is living within them Giving hope for a life of an eternal rest

But there is coming a day in the near future When the eastern sky will suddenly depart Millions will die from the fear of His coming

Falling to the ground with failure of heart

Now fear comes upon all those who survive Not knowing where to turn next or what to do Realizing they rejected the Only Begotten And that the word of God it was really true

Afraid of this which is now come upon them They cry in repentance but they are to late He enters the gates of Gods Holy white city Turning them away He then closes the gate

Then sitting upon His white throne of judgment He brings forth all those who rejected His call And judges them to an everlasting damnation In the fire of hell where then He casts them all

So if today you are one who is not yet ready To go with Jesus when the rapture will come Then you are in danger to be part of the judgment And die a living death for the deeds you have done

Now in this moment will you not accept Him Just believe and receive now in Jesus name You don’t need to do anything to receive Salvation Just repent of your sins and you will be born again

Just say Lord Jesus I confess that I am a sinner I know I have done things that I should not do I am asking You now for Your gift of Salvation Please come into my life and make it as new

Now if you prayed this prayer or one like it You have His gift of Salvation you can be sure You need not worry about seeing His judgment Eternal life now abides within you forever more R:#131

The Daydream

As I sat in silence beneath a cross And watched the waves rolling in I thought upon the sea of souls Who are lost in life’s sea of sin

The raging waves about them roar But they don’t seem to question why They just accept life for what it is Taking no thought to when they die

O that they could see the reason God sent us, His Son, Jesus Christ O that they would come to realize He came to pay their redemption price

So in the moment of these thoughts I can hear my spirit silently pray Dear Lord, if you want me to speak

Please give me the words I am to say

That I may compel them to turn about And convince them to come to You To repent of sin and be born again And to begin living their lives anew R:#132

The Easy Way, The Hard Way

It’s harder to get up than it is to fall down It is easier to stand still than to spin around It is easier to get mad than to keep your cool It’s harder to be mature than to act as a fool

Do you have a problem with everything today And nothing it seems wants to go your way Are you feeling frustrated and want to explode Or wish that you could get off life’s bumpy road

Are there feelings of hate or envy within Then be careful these don’t cause you to sin And if you are feeling like just blowing apart Give it to Jesus and have peace in your heart

A peace that es all the knowledge of man A peace that nobody can explain or understand It will give you a calm assurance within all night

And you will sleep soundly knowing all is right

It is so easy to put yourself into a self-centered cage By allowing your feelings to put you into a rage And cause you to do something you should not do That would bring shameful embarrassment to you

So if you have something bothering you inside Won’t you help yourself by swallowing your pride Take it to Jesus and lay it all down at His feet And you’ll walk away feeling free and complete R:#133

The Old Mans Conversion

While laying there upon his hospital bed The old man knew he would soon be dead So he reached into a drawer and took Out that which he had so long forsook

And as he held it close to him he wept Because he could not contain the words of it This book was not like those written by man Being Spiritually discerned he could not understand

What did this mean; you must be born again Only Jesus blood can cleanse you from all sin Hell has opened its mouth; ready to receive Those who refuse this Holy word to believe

How could one understand what these words meant That God into the world His only son have sent To be born by the way of a virgin birth

And take on human flesh and dwell on earth

As he waited, weeping, holding unto Gods word He was sure a still small voice he had heard It said take and read over these words again Then you will understand for I will make it plain

He was obedient and followed the words of the voice And was brought into the presence of Jesus Christ Where he confessed and repented of all of life’s sin Accepted Salvation and entered into eternity with Him R:#134

The Other Way

I can find no resting place, I feel driven I feel like a sinner convicted yet un-forgiven Leaping like a rabbit beneath the midnight sun When the season has changed and winter is come

It is a time to play it is a time to mate It’s a wild, wild world why should we wait Who knows if a wolf will come snooping around Licking its chops with a desire to gobble us down

So too is the world that we are now living in We do not hesitate to indulge ourselves in sin Not realizing the devil is always looking our way Seeking the right moment to seize upon his prey

He stirs up suspicions in the middle of the night And he causes some people to argue and fight He then encourages one the other to kill

As he waits to devour their soul to hell

How do one get away, what can one do To make a fresh go of it and start anew How can one ignore the lies they’ve been told And escape the fiery world that is waiting below

Well they say there is a fountain flowing for sin And the whosoever will can freely jump right in This cleansing, healing stream was sent from above So that man can be born again through Jesus blood

Born again of the Spirit and saved from sin By asking Jesus Christ to come and live within Confessing all your sinful faults, each and every one And asking His forgiveness for the things you’ve done

Then you will be embraced by His Spirit of love The Holy Ghost Comforter, Gods Heavenly Dove Sent from the Father to be a helper for you So that no matter what happens He will see you through

He is come to give you freedom and victory in your life That you will no longer desire to live in worldly strife For today He’s cleaning house to rid it of all your sin So rejoice my friend because you have been born again R:#135

The Problem

Most problems we have in churches today Is caused by the general ideas of society

We want to have and do things our own way And if it pleases ourselves, it must be okay

We are a stiff-necked people with hardness of heart With tongues of vipers cutting each other apart There is need for repentance and make a new start Inner revival will come with the softening of heart

We have taken the Bible and changed it around Because we did not like the way that it sound We reworded the Scriptures and shortened it down We desire no convicting words in it to be found

We have taken away all the landmarks of old Those hymns which seems to reach into the soul Those, which were written from hearts aglow As they in their way His wondrous story told

It’s time to turn back from the road we are on It’s time to get right before our time is gone

It’s time to change again the tune of our song It’s time to repent now, before Jesus has come R:#136

The Reason He Died

For our sins He died, for our Salvation He arose The reason for all these things only God knows Why would He have to send His only begotten Son To suffer and die for the sins which others had done

Could there not have been something else He could do That would bring Salvation to souls like me or you He knows we are not at fault that we are born in sin So He made for us a way that we might be born again

He loved us so much He sent His Son into the world To give a second chance to every man, woman, boy or girl He wanted to save us all from an eternal lost Which is the reason Jesus came to die upon a cross

There had to be a sacrifice, one that would please God He alone was the only one who had innocent blood He Himself was chosen so He became His only Son

And by the way of virgin birth somehow this was done

He came into this world and died for our sin and shame But if He had not risen up again, He’d had died in vain So for our sins He came and paid redemptions price Our everything we owe to Him, God’s Son, Jesus Christ R:#137

The Salvation Track

The other day I was given a track Handed to me by some religious quack It said; if you are still living now in sin Then you are in need of being born again

Oh brother I said, now this is swell As it told me how I was headed for hell Well about then I had, had about enough I don’t have to read this kind of stuff

So I balled it up and threw it away Who cares what these fools has to say I figured I would forget it, but instead It started messing around inside my head

These thoughts kept popping up in my mind And before long it was bugging me all the time So in a couple of days I decided to go back

To see if I could find that stupid old track

But to my satisfaction the thing was gone Then came this guy and gave me another one I took it even though I didn’t really want too But I just had to find out if this was true

But the track he gave me was not the same It said, I could only be saved through Jesus name And the only way that I could get to God Was by being cleansed from sin in Jesus blood

Now you can imagine that I was not amused After reading of such a ridiculous news What kind of fool do you think that I am I’m not a little child I’m a full-grown man

I just need to get this all out of my brain Before the whole thing drives me too insane But what if these things are really true Let me think now, I wonder what should I do

Then something begin stirring down inside I could feel this guilt that I could not hide The guilt of the sinful life that I was living A guilt for my always taking and never giving

So instead of throwing away the track this time I would read it later just to satisfy my mind So I blindly went slumbering down the street Thinking on this and tripping over my own feet

And when I got home I then begin to read Boy did that little track plant a big seed I could not believe the way that I now felt I was so overwhelmed by remorse and guilt

After reading these words I had no choice But to confess that Jesus was the Christ He was the only remission for all of my sin I believed and received and am now born again R:#138

The Sinners Decision

Poor lost soul so wretched and blind Return to the Saviour while you have time Turn from all your foolish folly today Come back to the fold and turn not away

The Master is calling heed now to His call Before you are lost with no hope at all To be cast forever into that horrible pit Where you’ll eternally serve a death of regret

Come now while He’s waiting with arms opened wide Turn from the wickedness of this world’s foolish pride Come out from among them, come while you can Reach out to the Saviour; take hold to His hand

Why don’t you just now receive and accept Him Don’t wander away to forever reject Him For time quickly is ing and soon will be ore

And your chance to be saved will be gone evermore

O sinner why linger, don’t be such a fool Come now to Jesus, don’t lose your soul Soon He is coming your time is too short For you to pick out a religion of some sort

Those buildings don’t matter they’ll all away Only the righteous will rise to go with Him that day Up from the graves and from on earth by and by They will rise to meet Jesus in clouds of the sky

Will you than be one while you still have time Or will you remain a fool to be left here behind To wait for His judgment and your soul to sell To Satan who will drag it into an eternal hell R:#139

The Spiritual Battle

Days and years seem to go by much faster As if the whole world is in a hurry to end The Scriptures of prophets are being fulfilled It’s an uncertain world we are now living in

Our governments and leaders don’t have the answer Even though they try as hard as they can No one seems to be able to break through the barrier Of the sinful mess we all find ourselves in

The world around us have outgrown its borders And the seeds of those sinners have finally grown Now the plant of evil that was sown by the Devil Is now killing our beliefs by powers to us unknown

But those who are determined to make it through Will have to learn to prayerfully, Spiritually fight And trust in Jesus to strengthen them in battle

Until He has come back to make things right

Then we will all go up in a blaze of glory We’ll be caught up from this world of sin We will all be gone in a twinkling moment To Heaven where we’ll eternally worship Him R:#140

The Spiritually Blind

So many times in life we find The type of people who Satan bind It is so easy to discern their kind Without direction they walk as blind

Not realizing they are being robbed They wrap their life around a job Or do some foolish thing that’s odd They live and die never knowing God

Their true identity they never know They know their born they eat and grow They live by impulse with little control Not realizing they have a living soul

A soul that lives on when their gone Who goes back to God when life is done To stand in judgment before His Son

Who will judge the life of everyone

He will decide the destiny of man As before Him one by one they stand They will go to His left or right hand Doing whatever will be His command

Many will some old fable story tell Some will not believe that it is real Others in shock will scream and yell As they are condemned to eternal hell

Those on His right He will ask to stay The ones on His left will be sent away Many millions of souls will burn that day But where will you spend your eternity R:#141

The Things I Do Not Know

As I sit here and think about The inner things I do not know Things, which gives me inner peace And somehow sets my heart aglow

As I meditate upon the Lord Or just reminisce upon His word Consider the way some things are done Or some uplifting thing I have heard

It is then I know there is a difference Between myself and most other men Which causes me to somehow humble Realizing the meaning of being born again

Then within me I feel revelations Of many Spiritual things coming my way I see visions of the cross at Calvary

I can see what Jesus suffered that day

But then I see Him as He now is In His glistening white robe on high Now I see Him leaving His throne in Heaven To meet with His own in clouds of the sky

How I hold to these precious moments Which gives me knowledge of what soon will be And helps me to prepare for the future Living with Him throughout all eternity R:#142

The Time is Drawing Near

Listen all ye saints of God the time is drawing near When Jesus our Redeemer will in the sky appear Keep your ears opened, the trumpet soon will sound And the saints in the graves will arise up from the ground

Then we who are alive and yet on earth remain Who are washed in Jesus blood and have been born again Will be caught up with them to meet the Lord in the air And we’ll go up to Heaven to live with Jesus there

We will dwell in that great city made of purest gold In a glorious land where we never will grow old Where a day is as a thousand years, a thousand years a day We will live forever throughout all eternity

If you think I am joking just take a around Signs of the end of time can everywhere be found Just take and read the Bible and you will surely see

Things are just the way the prophets predicted it would be

So as the days go ing by this one thing You are closer to your redemption than you ever been Be wise, begin and finish your every day with prayer And when the Lords comes calling I pray He’ll find you there R:#143

The Trinity

God the father was up in Heaven Jesus the Son was on the cross And the Holy Ghost was searching For the souls which were lost

At times I try to figure it out As I wonder just how come These seem to be so separate But yet these three are One

Then I get to thinking about it Now how in the world can this be They cover all of the universe But yet they somehow live in me

God was always up in Heaven Whom man have not yet seen Mary was conceived by the Holy Ghost

And Jesus became a human being

He lived on earth but was crucified When He grew up and became a man So God the Father by His Holy Spirit Took Him up from this earth again

Now there are two up in Heaven And one still left down here on earth To search out the souls of man And give unto them new birth

By accepting God as their Father And believing Jesus is His Son Who is the Saviour of the soul By the Holy Spirit who makes Three in One R:#144

The Warning Sign

As you travel along on your journey through life Many are the temptations that will come your way So when you sense that you are in danger Don’t keep going on, stop and take time to pray

You have no way of knowing what lays up ahead It may be a little battle or a big raging war You may come away with only a few minor scrapes Or you may barely survive it all battered and sore

But there is always a warning before a fight So watch for those signs and you’ll know what to do Follow the map of Gods word and pray for direction And listen to His commandments that He gives to you

Put on the armor of Salvation, the shield of faith Take the sword of the Spirit and in Jesus name Go onward and forward into glorious victory

With no signs of defeat or any feelings of shame

Now if there are times when you think you can’t make it Don’t take a chance, but retreat just for a little while Until new strength you have gained through more prayer Which will bring you through each fiery trial with a smile

The Warning

If one day you are hoping Heavens gates to enter in Then you need now to search and rid your life of sin Because there are many people who think that they will Who are living yet in sin and are surely bound for hell

I write this poem to warn you though you may not agree But it is written in the Bible and is very plain to see And these are some of the types who will not enter there Those who take His name in vain, using it for to swear

Those who are drunks, drinking to intoxicate themselves The selfish and self-centered who care for no one else Drug s and any others who are abusive in that way Who do not have any time for Christ until judgment day

Those who abuse their bodies in a homosexual relationship Will come to realize one day that they will pay for it Because the Bible clearly warns of actions of this kind

And warned us what would happen to blind who leads the blind

Then there are adulators, fornicators and of such a type Who can never enter into Heaven unless they make it right Brawlers who like to start a fight and those like this And others who are not satisfied until they cause a mess

Those who use others that they may gain worldly wealth And those who do things to intentionally abuse their health Because the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit of God And whoever will abuse it will feel the wrath of His rod

There are many other things not mentioned in this poem That could stop you from entering into Gods eternal home So the most important thing is to make this your choice Repent of sin; be born again through the blood of Jesus Christ R;#146

The Way of Salvation

Deep down within there is a soul that is pleading Pleading to God for Salvation from their sin Deep down inside them their heart is breaking Has they cry out to God, please won’t you come in

Deep down inside the Holy Spirit is searching Searching a lost soul, so deep down within Humbly convicting toward inner repentance Leading them to a place where they can be born again

Down at an alter where a lost soul is seeking And Gods people, praying are gathered around them Until hells hold has been broken, the soul is set free Then their praises to God will ascend upward to Him

With stammering lips and with an unknown tongue Some newly found soul is rejoicing to God, and then They begin to dance a dance unknown to others

As they dance in the Spirit so unlike that of man

And there at the altar where Gods river is flowing There is a glow upon a face which seems will never end For the Holy Spirit is cleaning a newborn temple Of this one who just accepted Jesus as their friend

Way up in heaven there is such a great rejoicing As around Gods throne the angels gather saying, Amen And the elders cry out Holy, Holy, Holy to the Redeemer While they give all glory and honor to the great I Am

But down in the pits of hell going unnoticed Is the wicked one who tried but could not win Because he has no power since Jesus took the keys away And victoriously took them back to heaven with Him

Now there at the altar with joy overflowing Bubbling up from a spring deep down inside Flowing from the river of eternal Salvation Rejoicing in Jesus who now stands at their side

There is a time to be happy A time to be sad A time to be good A time to be bad

There is a time to listen A time to talk A time to run A time to walk

There is a time to work A time to play A time to go A time to stay

There is a time to give A time to receive A time to rejoice

A time to grieve

They Prayed to The Father

He was a swaddling young baby boy Laying in a manger so cool and dim Who would believe that He’d be the one That was to die for the souls of all man

He would be set for a rising and fall For the quilt and sins of all men To make a way for their Salvation So that they might be born again

But as Mary His mother held closely Her sweet baby boy child in her arms She vowed with her life to protect Him And keep Him safe from all of life’s harms

Little did she realize in the future That her little boy child would be The one who would carry His cross

On His own death road to Calvary

But in this moment she just cherished This precious young gift she was given Then she prayed for His safety on earth Until His return to the Father in Heaven

O how she prayed for her baby boy child That God would protect Him from all sin Yes how deeply she prayed for Jesus her Son How earnestly she prayed to the Father for Him

O Mary it must have torn you soar And taken your whole life apart To see your Son tortured and die This one who was dear to your heart

But nothing could you or anyone do It was now up to His Father above To chose between the death of His Son And the people who He came to love

So this being for the better of men He covering His face with His hand Could not look on the death of His Son While He paid for the Redemption for man

But Mary the once beaming young mother Now knelt beneath the cross of her Son She not knowing Gods plan of Salvation Did not understand that which was done

And as she clung to His cross she ed All of those promises she once made, and than She realizing that her Son would soon be gone So she bitterly wept and she prayed for Him

O how she prayed for her once baby boy That God would deliver Him from sin Yes how deeply she prayed for Jesus her Son How earnestly she prayed to the Father for Him

She did not know that in two days time That He would be risen up from the dead And be taken up to His Father in Heaven For she understood not the words He said

Then early on the first day of the week One went to His grave but to her surprise There was Mary’s Son, now Gods Holy One Standing alive before her very own eyes

He had been risen but she could not touch Him For He had not ascended to His Father above She ran than rejoicing unto all His disciples With her once broken heart bursting with love

She cried He has risen the King of Salvation He has come for Gods own now to receive He is the Lord of all those generations Who will come unto Him and only believe

Then one day at supper there in their midst

Jesus appeared in this room cool and dim Than taking wine and bread He did eat it And He so prayed unto His Father for them

And O how He prayed to His Father in Heaven That He would keep them from all of life’s sin And to deliver them out of all their temptations Until that He would one day come back again

Yes how comionately He prayed to His Father To always guide them and give them strength within He promised He would send to them the Comforter Has He so deeply and earnestly prayed for them

And they all prayed and give thanks to the Father As they all lifted their voices in praise to Him And in one accord they all worshiped their Lord While they all beheld Him and watched Him descend R:#149

Tomorrow May be Too Late

Are you waiting for the Lord that He might come unto you Pick you up from where you are and make you feel like new Well do not sit and wait too long, He may never come your way But if you take that first step He can save your soul today

You watch closely all of Gods people they are different and you know That when you see them rejoicing there is a joy within their soul You long to have this feeling you are longing for it all the time Jesus said knock and the door will be opened seek and you shall find

Don’t put it off until tomorrow; no friend do not hesitate Jesus, He is longing for you why would you make Him wait Maybe you will return tomorrow and find a lock upon this door To realize you should have taken that step one day before

As you look back and yesterday there in that pew How we were rejoicing and you wished you could have too But you could not grasp the reality of the things you heard

You could not seem to open your heart to receive Gods Holy word

Now you have changed your mind, and decided to give this a try Not realizing Jesus came and His saints are gone with Him on high You take a walk around the place but you cannot hear a sound You keep seeking answers daily but no evidence can be found

Until the great white throne came forth, judgment day was to began Jesus sat upon the throne before Him stood this confused young man He said I saw you down there on earth waiting just outside the gate You have waited there one day to long, you are now one day to late R:#150

Too Late

Will it be tomorrow the world will be surprised To awake and find Gods people all have arised To meet with the dead in Christ in the skies When much to their dismay they will finally realize

My God, too late for me now, I have made my choice I had a chance to make it but I rejected Christ Now I am left behind I know I must pay the price When I could have with them, forever more rejoiced

How many millions will there be if Jesus came tonight Tomorrow say, l wish I knew I would have made things right But too late now for me, there are no Christian’s left in sight There’s no one to help me understand or set the record straight

Excuses after excuses trying to place something to blame Trying everything they can to excuse their guilt and shame Denying the fact they would not believe that Jesus came

And died upon the cross so they could have been born again

Now if you are one like those mentioned in this poem Or maybe you are someone who have excuses of your own You have still this moment if Jesus has not yet come To accept Him into your life and make Heaven your home R:#151

Trials and Tribulations

Persecuted but not forsaken Cast down but not destroyed Ridiculed but not overcome Rejected but not yet denied

As if we are going it alone We find it so hard to stand We feel we cannot carry on And no one to give a helping hand

But in our disparate situation Our hearts cry out to God above We pray, hoping He will hear us And send down the Spirit of love

How we wish that He would hold us Close to His bosom and keep us there Or tuck us under His wings of shelter

And gentle hide us in His tender care

But in our trials and tribulations God seems to leave us to our tests He just gives us strength enough To help us to come out our best

So if today you are having troubles Some fire trial you don’t understand Do not fight it; prayerfully go with it And leave the battle in the Masters hands R:#152

Trials

The trials we at times must go through Confuses us in what we are to do Should we pray, sing, scream or shout We do all we can but can’t figure it out

What is the cause of this trouble within Is there within me some secret sin How can I fix that I know not off While I feel no longer His comforting love

There is an outer cry for an inner touch That gives the inner strength we need so much But when we pray and no one seems to ear We are left feeling lonely, our lives in despair

At times like this when our faith have been shaken And we feel that by God we are so forsaken We just need to wait upon the Lord a bit longer

For He will soon lift us up and make us stronger

Because our trials at times is an outward force Devised by the devil to put us of course But God is there with us and feels every pain And waits patiently for us to call on Jesus name

So if today there is a trial you’re struggling to win And you’re no farther ahead than when it begin Then give it over to Jesus and leave it with Him And you will be no longer tormented with it again R: #153

True Salvation

I wonder if some lost soul came to the Lord today Confessed to Him all of their sin and had it washed away While in true repentance as upon their knees they fell And felt that pure relief of being saved from an eternal hell

I wonder if they have truly considered the cost Of the price for Jesus Christ dying upon a cross Did they really give thought to the Sacrifice God made Or consider at all of what the cost for our sins He paid

I wonder at times why He came and gave His life For such a people as we are, full of envy and strife Or why He took the blame for sinners such as you and I Or the cruelty of crucifixion He would chose to die

I wonder if I did not stop to consider redemptions price And read about the life and death of Jesus Christ Would I still be interested in something I know little about

Or would I be striving daily trying to keep the devil out

I wonder if some soul today has truly found the Lord As I, in true repentance was broken and outpoured Emptied of their past, washed completely of all their sin Revived, set free, rejoicing joyfully when they let Jesus in R:#154

Trust in Jesus

Bring all your burdens give them to Jesus Come in repentance and confess all of your sin Come now expecting and you will receive So come with your burdens and give it to Him

Just He knows your every need And He always knows the thoughts of your heart He’s here to help you if it’s for the right reason But you must reach out and do your part

He really loves you for you are His child He gave His own life that you may be saved He alone has the keys to hell and of death To give you victory over the power of the grave

He has taken the lash of the whip for you And by these stripes if you believe you are healed And all of the powers of hell will be broken

If you would just to His Spirit yield

So whatever your problem He’s able to solve them Come on now to Jesus be humble in His sight And if you have doubt or sin confess it to Him For you cannot receive until you make things right R:#155

Trusting in Jesus

Many times on my journey I have to consider If I’m still traveling on the road that is right Because clouds of darkness sometimes overshadow me And for a while I lose with my guiding light

It is than I can feel the trials and temptations That Satan forcefully brings to try and make me fall But I just stop and I call upon Jesus in prayer Because I know that He is the conqueror over all

Then in a short time when the clouds are all lifted And I can see again the road I’m walking on Now my burden lifted and my footsteps much lighter I merrily sing in my heart this comforting song

As long as I can walk with my Saviour I know for sure that I’m going to win No temptation can stop me or trial overcome me

As I go onward and forward trusting in Him

Because when I call upon the name of Jesus The devil and his demons will all have to flee And as long as I know He is walking beside me I know that I am living in complete victory

For His word tells me no trials can overtake me And there is no temptation that I cannot overcome If I take the time to humbly, prayerfully seek Him He will be there to help and guide me through everyone

But only if I trust Him when in times of trouble And take the time to pray and seek His face Will He come to deliver me out of my temptation And miraculously saved me by His unchanging grace

As long as I can walk with my Saviour I know for sure that I’m going to win No temptation can stop me or trial overcome me As I go onward and forward trusting in Him

Many times on life’s journey I get onto the big highway Oh it felt so good walking on a smooth pavement road I didn’t realize I was heading in the wrong direction Until I found I could no longer carry my heavy load

I somehow allowed myself to fall for Satan’s devices And looked for a more comfortable road to walk on Not realizing I had yielded to some deceitful temptation I followed blindly along until my strength was all gone

Then falling to my knees beneath the heavy burdens I carried I realized I had strayed and gone out of Gods will And as soon as I called on Jesus the Comforter came And guided me off, of that big smooth highway to hell

As long as I can walk with my Saviour I know for sure that I’m going to win No temptation can stop me or trial overcome me As I go onward and forward trusting in Him R:#156

Trusting Jesus

Please don’t let me cross over sins stricken line Lord give me the power to have control of my mind Let me not be led into temptations, let me not fail Let not the wicked one lure my soul down to hell

I belong to you Jesus that is my desire Let me not be cast into the lake of fire And if some kind of evil thing com me about Please be there to help me find my way out

If for some reason I step on enemies ground I trust you will help me to get turned around Always be with me to show me right direction I need you beside me; I need your protection

Lord when I come before you any time in prayer I’m asking that you will always meet me there Especially in desperation when I call out to Thee

With some special request that’s so important to me

So I’m asking you Lord for the shield of salvation Let us commune in that special personal relation That only a father could have with His son Never leave nor forsake me, never leave me alone R:#157

Uncertain Times

Today we are living in a time of uncertainty It’s a time, which is known for turmoil and strife’s Any day could be for us a day of decision Which may determine the rest of our lives

So many changes and cutbacks by governments Have made for many a future of hopelessness And at a time when jobs are so hard to find Where do one turn for some peace and rest

As the world of lights around us are flashing Celebrating Christmas in a commercialized way Instead of being overwhelmed by confusion Find the true meaning of Christmas Day

The Babe in the manger, He did not stay there He grew up as we do and became a man He was crucified and died for our sins

Then arose again to fulfill His Salvation plan

So today if you are uncertain of what to do And your life seems to be caught up in this mess This year find Jesus the true meaning of Christmas Then you will find peace, rest and true happiness R:#158

Unlimited and Uncontrolled God

God is not limited by any denominations Neither is He controlled by the will of man He pours out His Spirit on who He desires And He has the power to take it from them

Sometimes His people get on the offensive And to others the wrong messages do send Then when they come to realize the damage They don’t make it right with those they offend

So then by His mercy for everyone’s sake Must come and take His Holy Spirit away Until that person has learned their lesson And has humbled themselves and come to pray

For only to often those who would lead us Get so caught up in their own belief And by not giving Gods word to His people

They could be considered worst than a thief

Because they have taken His life giving word And gave it not to His hungry children to eat So that they become weak from lack of food And are starving from lack of Spiritual meat

Still they keep gathering themselves together Hoping to get something to keep them alive They are to hungry to realize what’s happening They will try to eat anything just to survive

But then God looks down upon His loved ones And just reaches down at times to let them know Hold on my child I am still there with you Saying follow Me My child I’m still in control

For I am not limited by mans fair speeches Neither am I moved by his unrighteous ways Soon I will remove my Holy Spirit from these And give it to those I call in the last days

Because there is coming a time in the future When itching ears teachers will be all gone Then you will see that in these the last days I will pour out My Spirit, My will, will be done R:#159

Using Discernment

So often in life we meet up with someone Who think that theirs is the only way They do not know how somebody lives godly If they read Gods word and quietly pray

They believe that to be a follower of Christ Means you must push the gospel on all you see But I am a one who believes on Gods Son Who knowing His word, to this way disagree

Because I believe in going to the Father Instead of casting my pearls to the swine I must seek His guidance and His wisdom And let His Holy Spirit flow through mine

So I take the time to pray to the Father And I ask for His will in my life each day I read His word to receive understanding

I take time to hear what He has to say

And I take the time to discern who I talk to Because I want to know that I’m doing good For all will not receive the words I tell them So I give not to the dogs His children’s food R:#160

Victory in Jesus

If you are unhappy try to be glad Do something good you won’t feel so bad Try not to be angry; don’t be so sad Don’t allow Satan’s lies to get you mad

Don’t just take it put up a good fight Take all the wrongs and make them right Turn all your dark times into light Do all you can to make your life bright

When you arise from sleep each day Take the time to kneel and pray Ask Gods’ direction in all you do and say And He will guide you each step of the way

If at times you’ve done all that you can You seem to be losing with no way to win Don’t give up hope, just take it to Him

He will give you the strength to go on again

Be of good comfort, is His word for you I came to earth to make all things new I’ll be your help in whatever you do Call on Me when in need, I’ll see you through

I was before time and I AM after it’s gone I will be with you when your life here is done I am He who gave His life, your Salvation won I AM that I AM, I am that same one

So be encouraged always no matter how you feel One day you will see your Salvation is for real Then will it be made known to all the dread of hell But you will be with Me and forever in Heaven dwell R:#161

We Owe it all to Jesus

For our sins He died, for our Salvation He arose The reason for all this only God knows Why would He have to send His only begotten Son To suffer and die for the sins others had done

Could there not have been something else He could do To bring Salvation to lost souls like me and you He knows we are not at fault that we are born in sin So He made for us a choice that we may be born again

He loved us so much He sent His only Son into the world To give a second chance to every man, woman, boy and girl He wanted to save all mankind from an eternal lost So for that reason Jesus His Son had to die upon the cross

There had to a sacrifice, a one that would please God But He alone was the only one who had innocent blood He Himself was chosen so He became His only Son

And by the way of a virgin this somehow was done

He came into this world and died for our sin and shame But if He rose not from the dead He would have died in vain So for our sins He came and paid our redemptions price Now our everything we owe to Him, Gods Son Jesus Christ R:#162

What do God see

When I stop at times to consider myself Not a person of stature, beauty or wealth I wonder who or what God might see When He at times looks down at me

Do He see a reflection of His Son Or little resemblance of His Holy One Do He see Jesus living through my life Or a sinner living in turmoil and strife

If I seek Him earnestly every day It I read His word, kneel and pray Is that all for Him I need to do To live with joy this life anew

Should I not be doing something for Him Like trying to save other souls from sin Should I not be denying self each day

And walk by faith in the narrow way

And as I stop to consider I realize I may not look so good in His eyes But I know He cares and understands So I put my whole life in His hands R:#163

What Word is This

What word is this before me I see Which can offer life for all eternity And what is this word I now read Can a word take upon it flesh indeed

And how can one who’s a woman give birth Who has never yet been with a man on earth An Holy Ghost child, and just what does that mean She got conceived by a being who cannot be seen

A seemingly unlikely story but yet it is true And it is possible for Him to be living in you If you could but believe in the Lord Jesus Christ Who has already paid for your redemptions price

As Mary held her baby boy close to her breast She knew she was holding onto the worlds very best She was holding in her arms Gods Holy Word

That had once been attached to her umbilical cord

Now the Word in flesh had appeared on earth By the way of a miraculous virgin birth To become a King for those who would believe And turn to Him for Salvation to receive

From now on her life would no longer be the same So she just cherished the moment and whispered His name God was with her and He would see her through And she knew He would be with her little boy too R:#164

When and Where

Where would you go too If you should die today There is heaven, there is hell And there is no other way

If you were to die this moment Who do you think would claim your soul Are you prepared to go to Heaven Or are you willing to go down below

Where do you think you will go When God calls out your name Will it be for a righteous crown Or judged for a life of guilt and shame Where do you think you will go When God calls out your name

Satan is always there to claim the souls

Of those who life their life of sin Those who are not washed in Jesus blood And have not yet been born again

So this is the reason why I come It’s for the truth to you to tell If you are not ready to go to Heaven Then you are surely going to hell

Where do you think you will go When God calls out your name Will it be for a righteous crown Or judged for a life of guilt and shame Where do you think you will go When God calls out your name R:#165

When Jesus was a Boy

When Jesus was just a little boy He was always happy all the time He lived to please His Father, God And always let His little light shine

He went around talking to the people Speaking the word of God to them Trying to show them they knew not God And they were still living yet in sin

Many people listened and questioned At the unusual things He had to say But He just quoted to them Gods word And merrily did things His Fathers way

Doctors and lawyers could not answer The many questions He asked of them Neither could they receive His words

As He answered the things asked of Him

They did not know God was His Father And the Holy Spirit was in control To always teach Him what to say Walking with Him wherever He’d go

There will never be another like Him He alone was and is Gods Son And there will never ever be another Jesus Christ will be the only one R:#166

Where will You go

Do you have that calm assurance Deep down within your soul That if you were to die today You know where you will go

Would you go to live in Heaven And be with Jesus forever more Or would you be condemned to hell Never to walk that golden shore

If you’re not sure where you will go When your life here on earth is done Then you have not yet received Salvation And do not know Gods only begotten Son

You need not be living in darkness Stumbling around as if it was night Just call upon the name of Jesus

He will appear and give you sight

That you may see from within you As sight is given to your inner eyes And you will see your life on earth Is far more important than you realize

This is a place and time of decision To determine who will claim your soul Will you go with Jesus up into Heaven Or follow Satan down into hell below R:#167

Where will You go to

Do you ever stop to think about Where the inner you will go When your life has run its course What will happen to your soul

Death has no known limitations No matter what age you might be Race and color means nothing to it Many around us are dying each day

Life is just a time of decision Of where, when it’s time to go Are you ready to go to Heaven Or are you willing to go below

Jesus died for all of mans sins It’s you who must make a choice To die forever, keep following Satan

But to eternally live follow Christ R:#168

Why Stand Outside

Why stand you there outside of Gods door Why stand you there outside of Gods door Why don’t you enter in to go out no more Why stand you there outside of Gods door

You know that you are welcomed If you just turn from your sins He knows all the things you have done And you know He cares and understands

If you would listen you’ll hear Jesus You will hear His voice calling to you Will you consider and allow Him to enter He will start your life over like new

Go ahead now confess and repent of your sins Tell Him your sorry for the things you have said Ask Him to forgive all the things you have done

And to cleanse your soul in the blood which He shed

Why don’t you ask Jesus to come into your life Allow Him to come in and dwell in your heart You will receive if you only believe in Him He will come in and He will never ever depart R:#169

Will You Come With Me

I Will you come with me to a land far away To where the blossoms bloom on Aaron’s rod To where the bush is burning upon mount Horeb Will you come to dwell in the city of God

Will you climb with me up the mountain of Nebo To behold the promised, Great Canaan Land And stand upon the top of mount Pisgah The place where Moses took his last stand

Let us walk together through the midst of the waters As they become a wall of shelter on either side By faith we will walk on dry land through the Red sea And watch to see all our enemies being destroyed

Come watch Gods people; hear their complaining We have no water to drink for our children nor us See Moses take up the rod has God told him

And when he smote the Rock, out the water did gush

Look now, and see the fire on top of mount Sinai And see Moses climb the mount and go out of sight Into the cloud of Gods glory to talk with God Abiding there for forty days and forty nights

See Moses now coming back down mount Sinai He has two large stones, holding one in each hand These are the Commandment’s written by Gods finger To teach His people how to live in the promise land

Now let us follow the true path learning from Israel As on the banks of the Jordan river we will stand May we with joy walk through the midst of its waters And with dry feet, rejoicing, go into the Promise Land R:#170

With You Always

Behold my child I Am with you always Even until the end of this time Though you may not sense it; I will be there To help you, because you are Mine

I must go now and descend to the Father But I will come back again one day So prepare your hearts for My soon returning For then I will take you My child away

Away from this world and up into Heaven To a mansion prepared for you above Built by My Father with many rooms for you If you continue here now in My love

Before I leave you I give you this commandment Which I expect you to obey and do I command you that you shall love one another

Even as I have shown My love to you

As I have laid down My life for the whole world Do you likewise in love to one another Give of your substance whatever may be needed To help sustain your sister or brother

And I will send to you the Comforter, the Holy Spirit Who will make you all one with Me As I am in the Father then you will also be in Me And the Holy Spirit to this will agree R:#171

Wondering No More

As I sit here now and consider why That the Son of God would come to die For such a lost wretched soul as I And promise me a mansion in the sky

I wonder why God would pay the price Through the blood of His Son Jesus Christ Was it because He did not have a choice Or because He wanted to be that Mr. Nice

And as my mind thinks upon things like this I say to myself how could you be so ridiculous Even this thought should cause you to confess And ask God to deliver your mind from this mess

You know God don’t think in the ways of man And He wants all of His people to understand That He would like to be their closest friend

And to trust His guidance and hold to His hand

He did not die for any selfrighteous gain Nor did He suffer to prove He could endure pain But because of love He suffered such shame To make a way for His people to be born again

He did for us what no one else could ever do He gave us a chance to start our lives as new And if you could accept it He will receive you That you may be His child and have Salvation too

Now I no longer wonder about what God has done When He sent to earth His only begotten Son To fulfill the plan of Salvation He had begun That He may save lost souls, losing not a one

Now you may be someone having questions like I did And you may be afraid of being somehow misled But now that after this little poem you have read Listen to your heart; don’t listen to your head

For the Son of God came down to earth To die that He could make a way to save Lost souls just like yours and mine And give us victory over the grave

You Cannot Enter Heaven, if

You cannot enter into Gods kingdom If you are misusing Jesus name For the Scriptures clearly states You shall not take His name in vain

You may go to church every Sunday And be faithful in your tithes But you will never see the kingdom If your mouth is filled with lies

You may be a loving friendly person Who get so much praise from men But God looks right into the heart He searches and sees your every sin

If you profess to be a Christian Just how well does your light shine When you fellowship with sinners

And you are swearing all the time

Do you think that God don’t hear Every word, which you have to say And do you think He cannot see All of the things you do each day

You may fool most all of the people But some day you will get a shock For the word of God plainly declares He is a God who will not be mocked

Heaven is our Gods Holy kingdom And there will be no sinners there Nor hypocrites who deceive themselves His word makes this so very clear

You cannot enter in by your works Because in this man would boast And give very little credit to God But for himself would take the most

Your money will not get you there You can give the pastor everything But you can only enter into Heaven Through Jesus blood and by His name

So after you confessed all your sins And repentance before God was made You are to go out and sin no more Or all your faith has been decayed

For you cannot serve two masters As in the Scriptures we are told You will despise and hate the one While to the other you will hold

If you’re confessing to be born again Yourself Gods temple you can’t defy For he who defiles this Holy temple Him also one day will God destroy

So if you profess to be a Christian And still walk in your old sinful way You are what’s called an hypocrite And may not see Christ till judgment day

When He, upon His white throne will sit With a stern, firm look in His eyes I warn you now while there is time So His word depart, will be no surprise R:#173

You Must be Born Again

You must be born again; you must be born again You must be washed in Jesus blood to be free from sin Without this cleansing Heavens gates you can’t enter in Be sure today from sin your free, you must be born again

Many churchgoers don’t see the reason why they should Go along with those who believe in cleansing by the blood They believe if they are living morally, to God that’s okay And this born again religion, well it’s just not for today

They think that working hard and becoming a big success Is the kind of thing that brings to one true happiness So selfishly they strive to gain so much for themselves Never taking the time to be concerned for someone else

And as they work to greedily gain all this worldly wealth They cannot see self-centeredness has destroyed their health Then after the medical bills have claimed all they had made

Like so many millions before them in a shallow grave is laid

Gone is a life with no time to see what life was all about And when they knock on Heavens door will they be turned out If they don’t have on the wedding garment with His name Than the answer will be yes because they’re not born again

So today will you not be sure that you have Christ within Do you feel His life giving blood cleansing you from sin Don’t strive for worldly riches, which will wither, and decay But strive for Spiritual wealth and be born again today R:#174

You Need Jesus

If you are looking for some satisfaction Something to that void you have within And all of the things in life you are trying Seems to be leading you deeper into sin

Do you feel you are caught up in bondage Some kind of force, which you cannot control Then you need a Saviour, you need Jesus You need His blood to cleanse your soul

This is the day you are called to repentance This is the day of Salvation for you So come now into the Lords Holy presence Jesus is waiting, He is longing for you

If you are going through some tribulation If some fiery trial is pulling you down And you have been seeking for some direction

Of how you may turn this whole thing around

Than look friend no longer there is a redeemer He’ll deliver you out of all your guilt and sin If you do your part and come and accept Him As your own personal Saviour and be born again

This is the day you are called to repentance This is the day of Salvation for you So come now into the Lords Holy presence Jesus is waiting, He is longing for you R:#175

You will be there for me

You are my Saviour; I am your child Lord Jesus I need You always at my side You help me face life’s trials with a smile Always and forever Lord with me abide

So often I come to a fork in the road And I get confused on which way to go Then I need Your help with my heavy load For I can rely on You for this I know

You will be there for me when I am in need You will be there for me I don’t have to plead You will be there for me when I’m not sure what to do You will be there for me to always see me through

Many times on my journey down here on earth When trials and temptations kind of get me down Then I as Job feel like cursing the day of my birth

But through prayer You turn my thoughts around

You are such a Saviour who always understands And patiently waits until my trial is done So I can continue on, my life in Your hands Through another trial which victoriously was won

You were there for me when I was in need You were there for me I didn’t have to plead You were there for me when I wasn’t sure what to do You were there for me always seeing me through

And He will be there for you when you are in need He will be there for you, you won’t have to plead He will be there for you when you’re not sure what to do He will be there for you He’ll always see you through R:#176
